Childhood crushes?

I just posted on the INXS thread that I had a crush on Kirk Pengilly when I was about 12 or so -- I really liked his glasses!

It led me to think of other crushes I had when I was in my tween years (10 - 12 or so) and I came up with Nick Rhodes from Duran Duran, as well as Andy McCluskey from OMD.

Then I found punk rock at 13 and got into more "alternative" types. Though my tastes had always obviously leaned towards the offbeat and eccentric if you know of any of the above musicians.

Who did you fancy as a tween -- musicians or otherwise?

I had a cush on Michael J. Fox for years and years. Also included in my crushes is Christian Slater. For the moment, they are the only two who come to mind, although I know there are others!

Boy George (I thought he had such a dreamy voice!) when I was about 5 or 6!

Slash and Gilby Clarke from Guns and Roses
Brad Pitt when I was in highschool

Now I don't really have any that I really drool over.

We weren't allowed to watch tv or listen to pop music until we were 13, so I had an enormous crush on my school buddy, Jonathan Cloonis. I was so crazy about him. One day after school, I invited him over, threw him in my closet and made him kiss me. I was 6!

I had a crush on John Schneider from Dukes of Hazzard when I was about 6 - I really wanted to marry him! I got to meet him and he is still as gorgeous as ever!

I also liked Greg Evigan when he was in BJ and the Bear!

Nicholas Cage is one I have liked since I can remember... hm....

Eh.. a bit weird but... since I was like.. 13 I have liked Marilyn Manson.. but I really think I am just messed up and like guys in tight leather pants and makeup and stuff.

(I liked Dr. Frankenfurter in Rocky Horror Picture show so yeah)

Erm.. cant really remember any others...

Basically any guy in a movie who I thought was cute "caught my fancy"

I'm not picky.

I loved Alan Cummings as the Nightcrawler in X-men2. Oooh if only there was a way to get an Alan CUmmings as the Nightcrawler clone. :K He would make a cute pet. xD

I also like basically anyone with an accent. I am SUCH a sucker for accents. Even just SOUTHERN accents O_O

Rider strong from boy meets world on disney (like the first 2 seasons, I was 14 I think!) and Jonathan Brandis from Seaquest DSV (as well as from ladybugs and sidekick) Sadly he killed himself a couple of years ago.

Lets see...early teens the first one that comes to mind is Devon Sawa. Before that was Jordan from NKOTB (eewwww! RAT TAILS!!!! EEEWWWW!) I don't think there was really anyone else other than that! I wasn't much into that stuff.

I forgot my one sole favourite movie star from my teens... River Phoenix!

I absolutely ADORED him and it lasted far longer than my early teens. He was not much older than me, so we kind of "grew up" together. I was absolutely shocked and devastated when he died in 1993.

The ones that stand out to me were Kirk Cameron, Johnny Depp, and a pro wrestler most of you wouldn't recognize, I'm sure.

I'm sure there were more than that! That's all I can think of right now though.

Yep, definitely John Scheider and Greg Evigan - I had forgotten about them. Roger Taylor from Duran Duran.... Sting, Corey Hart.... I'm trying to think of who else I had plastered on my bedroom walls

Does anyone remember John-Erik Hexum? I was very into him. He died while fooling aroudn with a prop gun on the set.

Ha, when I was younger (now 28) I wrote to a magazine about how obsessed I was over Joey from New Kids on the Block. I ended up getting fan mail from ALL over the world w/ people who were just as obsessed. Ha, too funny. I didn't live w/ my parents though - so I still think to this day it was a blessing that my letter to the magazine was published over a million others. =) Whenever I hear of them (considering how short lived they were) it just makes me smile.

First crush I remember - Michael Landon as "Little" Joe Cartwright (Bonanza). Then there was Bobby Sherman, and the one who has lasted the longest - actor Michael York.

A friend did a drawing of Michael York as D'Artagnan for me.

Wow, I didn't know Jonathan Brandis killed himself either, I watched "It" and "Seaquest" because he was in it.

Christian Slater walked into our adoption center with his kids once. It was funny because he talked to my younger brother, who of course had no clue who he was.

Anyway, my biggest crush when I was young was Val Kilmer for sure. I also had a thing for Harrison Ford (even though as my mother said, "He's to old for ME!"). Those are the two that came to mind, but I really just liked movie stars.
