Soft paws?

Has anyone tried Soft Paws on their kitties? My cat LOVES my couch. He likes to crawl on it, lay on it, roll on it, play on it and unfortunately . . . he likes to claw it. So I'm wondering about Soft Paws.

The other thing . . . if I were to get Soft Paws for Giles do you think that his groomer would be willing to put them on him? Giles doesn't like to have his paws touched so I can't get near them to trim his claws so I pay a professional to do it. I'm thinking I'd have the same experience/luck with putting his soft paws on so I'm wondering if his groomer would be ok or should I not bother asking?

Do a search for soft paws or soft claws on this forum - there have been a lot of threads on this topic lately, and we're all getting to repeating ourselves... they are a great product, I use them myself - and yes, your groomer should be willing and able to apply them for you....

Actually, I just found out that I can buy them from my vet and they don't charge for the trimming OR the application. There is NO way that I'd be able to get close to his paws in order to do it myself!!

Maybe it's just my cats, but they trim their own claws (well, three of them do anyways), I've tried soft clawz and the clew them off as well.
