I went to Tombstone yesterday, to visit my friend Katey. Naturally, we had to do some shopping. Bronco Mercantile had this great pair of boots and, since I didn't have a brown pair (I don't know HOW that happened) and they were priced SO low:

The heels are about 2" and have great detailing:

Just in time, for the line dance classes, that I'm starting this month!

Those are great boots, but they remind me of something my mother once confessed to me.

She and my stepdad take yearly trips to Vegas, every year, he manages to take his most uncomfortable pair of shoes.
He uses that excuse to get a brand new pair of boots.
He is to boots what Imelda Marcos is to shoes!

I bought 2 pairs of shoes that I did not really "need" on Saturday. I'll have to post pictures. You can still wear sandals in October in Vegas right???

Nice boots, Cindy (a.k.a.TCS's very own Imelda)! Actually, I was thinking of you about two weeks ago, because I bought three pairs of shoes at once, which is very extravagant for me. I don't think they'd be your taste, though. I bought 3 pairs of lightweight Easy Spirit sneakers, in black leather, black suede, and brown suede, at an outlet. I bought a pair of black suede sandals a week later, too. My mom and sister were in hysterics, because I rarely buy shoes (try getting flat 8 1/2 wides - I can rarely find my size, and heels are in the same category as bras - too uncomfortable to wear on any but very special occasions), and those shoes will last me about three years.

If you don't mind me asking, how much were they? I need some new boots but don't want to pay $300 for them.

Original price: $112.00
Marked price: $85.00
Pixie's malfunctioning pen wrote $75.00 on the sales slip.
