I have a one year old black manx that just started doing the wierdest thing. She will sit in the window and lick all over it and then she drags her nose across the wet window and makes herself sneeze. She makes the worst snorting noises and usually doesn't stop until she has sneezed about 10-20 times. I have tried moving her across the apartment and she just runs right back. I thought maybe it was just the one window but she has done it on some others as well. We even tried cleaning the window and that didn't work either. Does anyone have an idea what's going on? She's really scaring me.

I've seen my cats do this but they only sneeze one or two times not 10 to 20. They do it to erase a strange smell only they can sense.
Once they're satisfied that there's no smelly residue
they stop. I don't know if it's the same with your cat.
Sunni used to just kind of "bounce" her nose off the window, like she was smelling it. She never sneezed. The little triangular kitty nose marks used to drive me nuts, with her being gone, I can't bear to wash them off. Silly me.
