Hey there. I'm Lissa, a new-found cat lover from Montreal. But let me introduce MY special companion...
See, my sudden re-obsession with felines started up again earlier this year when I took "Lux" (It's actually Luxury...after all the money I spent on putting her into top shape
) home from the SPCA. She's a one-and-a-half year old Calico...and by far the cuddliest, most affectionate creature I have yet to encounter. I had two cats in my youth, both of which were calicos (...trend I suppose) and neither one were very cuddly, to say the least. Not even "pettable". Could be because of the crazy dog we had, but either way, I never grew attached to them in the same way I have to my Luxy.
She was sick when I bought her and vaccination-less, so for a student living alone...the whole ordeal of buying/vet visits/supplies/getting her "fixed" etc. cost me a little fortune, but she was well worth it. And well deserving of the name Luxury, heheh. Undoubtedly the friendliest cat ever, she has become a big part of my life. I know whenever I'm coming home she'll be meowing at the door and purring at my feet as I walk in.
I guess I'm just happy to find a place I can explain what a joy she is to have with me.
And nice to meet you all...
