Hi everybody -

I know that I'm pretty new here, but I wanted to let you know that we lost Peanut today. He had a seizure, and when we took him to the vet he had another, and the X-ray showed his heart was very enlarged. We had to put him to sleep. So, at 13 weeks, that's Peanut's life.

Thanks everybody for your help, both in giving advice on Peanut and for myself. Now if we could just stop crying...it is amazing how attached we got to him in the 13 days we had him. He was a very special kitty!

Thanks,
Beth

RIP Sweet little Peanut. I'm sorry your life was so brief, but surely you know you were loved in that short time.

Thanks guys...this was so unforseen - we didn't know some of his erratic behaviors were actually pre- or post-seizure activity! Thank goodness we have the other furbabies to help us (they have not left me alone since we came home).
I am just going to have to get used to walking around with some kleenex nearby, like when washing dishes, making the bed, driving, etc. Peanut was the sweetest little boy, and instantly bonded to us...because he was an angel kitty! Dave and I are so lucky to have had him for as long as we did...I certainly hope he's over that bridge having a great time! Oh, time for another kleenex...

Sarah - I'm sorry about Chester too. My husband and I are with you in spirit, and in tears.

I know all about the kleenex...we've actually run out so i've resorted to toilet tissue. Sometimes i'm fine during the day, but there are times where i think of Chester or see his picture and I just start bawling again. I'm sure Peanut and Chester are chasing each other this very minute over the bridge.

Stay Strong and drop me a PM if you want.
Best wishes.

I am sorry about your loss. Please find some comfort in knowing that Peanut could not have been with a more loving family during his short time here on earth .

I'm so sorry. Peanut was such a young baby. But at least he knew love and had a wonderful home for a short while.

RIP Peanut

Thank you. He did know love, and had a good life for the last 13 days of it. Even though he was sick, he had such a good attitude - he was playing up until the end.

This is so hard! I don't even know if I'll be able to keep it together and work tomorrow!

When Vinnie passed, I took almost a week off work, I was fortunate and had plenty of time available. I found it hard to concentrate and just needed time to gather my thoughts and come to terms with his passing.

Be patient with yourself and know that you have plenty of people on this forum to talk to, including me.

Condolences on the loss of little Peanut! I'm sorry you only had 13 days with him, the strength of your love shows how very special he was.

So many losses by so many TCSers in such a short time! It is very tearful on this side of the rainbow bridge, but I think Peanut and his new rainbow friends are having a party over there! Rest in peace, Peanut!
