Ginger plays fetch with her mouse that rattles. She sometimes will bring it to me and meow real loud when she wants to play. She loves it! Sam does not fetch but he will shake when asked. Just like a dog.

My cat does! She'll drop the toy in front of me, look at me and look down at the toy as if to say, "Yeah, you know what I want you to do with this. Now let's get going!" If I ingore her, she will put the toy on my foot. If I continue, she will hop in my lap and lay on the remote, papers, or anything else I am working on until I play with her.

I brought home this beautiful calico, "Callie" around 10 yrs ago. My husband acted like he didn't like her, but she loved him. One day I came home from work only to my surprise he was in the driveway with Callie teaching her to fetch a rock! He said, "Check this out", he skipped it down the drive, she ran to it, picked it up in her mouth and trotted straight back to him! That was crazy! She also walked by my side (like a dog) during my pregancy, the neighbor would say, "Is that your new puppy?" lol What a great cat!!!

boy, i wish Pixel would do that - she has a tendency to lay it 3-5 feet away from me, then look at me with one of those 'what's the problem' expressions!

My older cat (she's 2), Jezebel, started playing fetch when she was a kitten. I taught her (not on purpose, just kind of happened) by using her toy mice. I'd throw them and encourage her to bring them back--and she did! She only plays fetch now with milk rings and straws. Currently, she refuses to fetch because we just got a new kitten. I'm hoping to teach Delilah, the new kitten, how to fetch as well.

My Gracie LOVES to play fetch! She waits every morning at the bottom of the stairs for me, and I toss those squishy golf-looking balls down to her. She sits back on her haunches and catches them with her front feet, then waits for me to throw the next one - it's adorable!!

Both Caesar and Jackson play fetch. Jackson solely with the rings off of milk or juice bottles. Caesar will play with the same rings (much to Jackson's chagrin) but his favorite is his furry mice. Caesar prefers the mice with little beads inside that rattle (what we call shaky mice) and feather tails.

And I thought my boys were strange for playing fetch. Boy am I glad to know I don't have wierdo cats!

Yes, my cat Calix plays fetch! He is such an intelligent cat and so awesome! One of the fuzzy balls we had bought them started coming apart and instead of just throwing it away, my girlfriend decided to take the outer part of it off and give it to them. Since then, Calix sleeps with it, chews on it and it is the only thing he plays fetch with. It even has a name. We'll ask him "Where's Pinky?" (It was apparently a pink ball) and he'll go find it, bring it to us and drop it in one of our hands. It's adorable.

Yes, my cats play fetch.

Unfortunately, I'm the one that's been trained to go fetch things on command
