hello all. me and my boys how i love them so. first off there is buddy, i adopted him from spca shelter in northern bc in the small city of prince rupert.he is a beautiful white cat with large black spots and lovely golden eyes. we lived happily together just me and him in our nice little apartment by the ocean until one day.... i lost my job and had to move. off we went to the beautiful vancouver island. buddy is an excellent traveller. we spent 18 hours on a ferry which he faired
well and then travelled down island to the small village of cumberland all the time with him on my lap peering out the window. you'd think he did this all the time. so now we have lived here for six years (buddy being 8 now) and he has welcomed two brothers to our family. first came tobias, a beautiful long haired black cat with the softest fur and the most beautiful green eyes. he was abandoned, a product of a marital breakup and left with a selfish spouse who would not feed him or look after him, but he sure wasn't going to let the missus have him. well she snuck over in the dark night with a friend and trapped him (by this time he was going wild) and brought him home. i had already told her i would take him and trucked on over in a foot of snow with buddy's cat carrier to pick him up and bring him home. he wouldn't come out from under the bed but was finally coaxed and off we went in the snow to our new home. it took a long time to tame him but he is now a wonderful addition to the family and is the most wonderful loving playful beautiful cat. that was six years ago. and lastly is my love jonny. he was a product of to many beers with a good friend and a batch of kittens. i was not going to adopt anymore cats but she couldn't seem to find homes for them(by the by we girls got together and bought her certificates for her birthday to have momma fixed, she loved it being on a fixed income) well jonny stole my heart and so a few days later we had another boy in the house. he is the most gentle gentleman, very calm loves to play. he is very accepting but will hide under the bed till he is sure whoever is over is really a friend then he will love you all over. he is a beautiful med haired black cat with big yellow eyes. he is so cute. i will go to bed and turn off the light to go to sleep when i feel a furry thing creeping up the side of the bed and then light pats on my nose until i pet him and scratch his nose. this will continue until i hide my head under my quilt and then off he goes. that was four years ago. i built a cathouse a couple of years back so they will lay outside on hot summer days basking in the sun. my beauty boys. our last addition 4 months ago was a tiny little yorkshire puppy name is abina. my boys are wonderful. they accepted her with only a few light swats to let her no we don't like that, they are so patient with her and jonny and tobias love to play with her (buddy is much to cool) chasing each other all over the house. excuse me just had a ball of black fur crawl into my lap had to do a petting. so thats us. nice to meet everyone

It's nice to hear that you've done so much rescue work - it's so important. A thankless job for many but worth it all when we can teach them that they're safe and loved. Most of mine are also rescues, so I know exactly what it feels like. Baby, who was a stray and brought to our local animal shelter- I just honestly could NOT imagine her being outdoors, out there in the crazy and dangerous world to fend for herself. She now is spayed and remains an indoor cat only (along w/ all of my 8 cats). I just love her to pieces and honestly- I think she was brought to me for a reason. She loves me just as much as I love her. She actually nibbles my face.. it's the cutest thing. I can't go too long w/out seeing her because she just won't leave my arms - she'll follow me everywhere, purrr and meow up a storm and then give me an extra hard nibble when I pick her up and snuggle obnoxiously with her. She gets the point that I missed her too when I do that. =)

Anyhow, I could talk all day about my cats.. I'm just obsessed w/ them. =) I would rescue every single one in the world if I could. But since I can't.. I'll just make sure a minute doesn't go by that I don't make sure my cats know how much I love them. That and educate on the importance of keeping your cats indoors, altering and other things that I'm passionate about. =)

What a beautiful loving description of your beautiful boys, I can't wait to see photos of them. It's lovely to hear that you have rescue kitties. We have three rescue moggies here, one pedigree and one rescue pedigree.
