Spent the afternoon, with the twins and their vocabulary is expanding. I am now "Gamma Cinny".
With a full complement of grandparents and great-grandparents, we have had to depart from some the usual titles. Mom and I are Grandma Mary and Grandma Cindy; Sam's parents are Nana and Tata. I'm not sure what Sam's grandparents are using. The girls are speaking a mixture of English and Spanish. Fortunately, my Spanish is on a two-year-old level and I can understand them.
The afternoon was a success. The girls loved the new T-shirts and their new book, "My Big Girl Potty" (they're potty-training). The double-chocolate Hershey's kisses went over well, too.
The twins insisted upon dragging out every toy, that they own, and showing it to me. MY long fingernails, purple sneakers and rhinestone watch were objects of fascination, for them. I promised them manicures and watches, when they're older. Right now, their fingers spend too much time in their mouths and they can't tell time.
I have GOT to find more time, to spend with them. Sam and I both work and they live 30 miles away.
