I have a slight dilemma...

Me and John are going to be going to my parents this weekend 2 hrs away...Friday night thru Monday night and I have no where to keep Harley...I dont want to leave him home alone as he will get lonely (I know I would!) and I want to make sure that he has food and water at all times. We could take him to John's mom's - where we got him, and he would be with the mother cat and his sister
- but here's the problem - There is a kid that John's brother is friends with that really wanted Harley, but we got him first, and now I'm horribly afraid that if we take him there all weekend that kid will try and take him or something. Im so protective! We could just leave him at home and let his mom come and check on him but if she doesn't everyday then I will feel so bad leaving him home alone...all weekend

Any opinions? Do you think I should take him to his mom's and risk it? I don't know if the kid would try and take him .... but with kids now a days you just never know...

Oh, and I cant take him with b/c my grandparents and aunt (who will be comin to visit) are all allergic!!

Oh my...definately is a big problem...

There´s not a Hotel for pets near to your area?
...maybe this will be a solution!

Good luck!

I left mine alone for 4 days, with lots of water and food, and someone to check after the first two days. Everything was fine. I think they slept most of the time, and they were very very happy to see me home. It wasn't ideal, but they were safe, and I think happier in their own familiar territory than getting used to a different place.

I did worry, though.

I just feel so bad leaving him there! I think that if we have someone check in on him (hopefully they will!) he will be okay...I just was worried that they wouldn't check up on him, you know?

He's my baby
, I worry!!

We all know how you feel, and it is normal to be worried. But if you can find someone you trust who will come in and feed him and maybe play with him for half an hour at least once a day he will be fine. Is there no-one you can feel safe with?

I think his mom would come and check on him but she would probably insist that we bring him to her house so it wouldn't be an 'inconvience' to her...
