The neighbors cat has decided to use our front bushes for her litter box! Now everytime I open my windows it smells like a cat urinated all over my living room. I tried a powder form of septic system digester and that did not work. I love to have my windows open but the smell is extremely over powering, worse when the mulch gets wet from the rain. What can I do to get rid of the smell?? I have not seen the cat in a while so I don't think its urinating in my front beds anymore.

Well not to scare you but you basically put septic system cleaner in a cats litter box. That has got to be deadly if she came back to use the same area over and over. If she got some on her paws and licked it off. Hopefully that isn't what happened though. I wouldn't use that again though. Someone will be along shortly with a good suggestion.

Oh no! I read on the Internet to water it in & it would take care of the problem, but it never said it was deadly to a cat. If I knew that I would of done that. I am a cat owner but she is strickly indoors.

I just Googled "pet odor eliminator" and got a whole bunch of sites. I've seen "natural" remedies (as opposed to harsh chemicals) that work outside so you can use them on shrubbery etc. Sorry I don't have a specific brand name for you, but see what you come up with on Google.

Oh I thought you just put straight up septic system cleaner on the ground and that couldn't be good.
