So my first night as a Demo person

Was pretty good. I am working for Bil Jac and I am actually very impressed the more I see about the company and the more i learn. Like their chickens are purchased human grade..and so forth. Lots of good info my trainer was VERY knowledge able. and he has Siberians too he thought my combo of a Siberian and a Basset was unusual hehe but cute. And he gave me lots of free goodies for my group to have at home Mucho MUCHO impressed with their cat treats. I have been feeding their dog treats for years but much mucho love the kitty treats. I did pretty good for my first night too! I sold 7 bags of food cant shake a stick at that no Sir. I work again on saturday than again in two weeks. I can pick up more stores too if i want..which I just might. The extra cashola wouldnt hurt with holiday season coming up. I really had FUN doing this too. It was really fun. and thats what matters isnt it?

One lady loved the dog food and than wanted to buy cat food too. which petsmart doesnt carry but i directed here to where she could find it..tehehe.

Yup I had fun hehe people really are nice to talk to. we had a few people wanting to ignore us and thats fine hehe we arent pushy...it was a good time

I didnt. but i did bring pictures and set them on the table. *teheh* And yes it was at petsmart. I had to laugh when i was "warned" about the nutro demo people..that they can be a bit territorial. I said "dont worry i feed their canned cat food....i can fend them off with that comment" I did get alot of comments on my puppies photo and it worked out good. I found alot of people thought I worked at Petsmart....and asked for help. I would help if i could. (great lead up into getting them some petfood hehe) and if i couldnt i found someone who could

Thanks. It was really a good fun. and I have to say i learned ALOT. And if i do good I may get to go to the company plant and have a tour and see really how the food is made! I think thats pretty nifty..

The food cant be to bad if they have an exclusive contract with Unniversal and such..

Thanks I was pretty proud too. I have never really thought of myself as a "sales" person..but i will be darned if i didnt do pretty darn good you guys could go sign up on the website and they will send ya a free sample...doesnt hurt to try it

How did you get to be a demo person?
I could really use a little extra money, and this sounds like a nice thing to do.

I went to their website filled out a form and their local guy called me. www.biljac.com its pretty cool. they mostly market their dog food. But i did have a lady ask me today if they had cat food too. Which they do so i told here where she could get it if they boost sales of the cat food it will be avalible in more stores again. WHOO. It really is nice. and so far i am impressed.

Sounds like this is a great job for you. I usually avoid the demo people at stores, but I must admit, I like the folks at PetsMart. I have always found them very helpful, and yeah, even though they work for the food companies, they are usually very good at directing people to where things are in the store. I usually stop and ask the Nutro rep questions when she's there... always looking for the best choices for my beasts.

Oh yes I do smile smile smile..and i did flirt slightly with an older gent. LOL i used to do that ALL THE TIME at rennisance festivel so I have gotten pretty good at it, LOL

I had a younger guy flirt with me...but he did buy a bag of food too

Yeah I do try to be helpfull. We even dircetd a guy to try the Lamb and Rice formula of a product for his dog. (we did send him home with a sample of ours to make sure it wasnt the chicken formula his dog was actually allergic too) its really about helping the pets selling the food is nice too but..ya know

yes it took a few days but they called me. They have to send it to the regional person and they give you a jingle back.

Thanks to someone on TCS who mentioned Nutro I have training on Saturday for a demonstrator! I was surprised that I got a call from them then an interview. A second job part time. Kitties are all yelling "Go Meowmy that means more for us!"
