I know there are many different things that many different people do to let out their anger or to just keep it under control at that. Well some of the things I do are:

- Call my mom and just completely SCREAM about what happened.
- Call up my friends and vent about it.
- Get online and post about it.
- Or if nobody feels like listening to me I'll pick up my bass guitar and play to try and relax.

so what do you do?

Hm.. well if you look at my "sigh. Rant" post... I guess you coudl say its nice to come on here and be able to post. Maybe people dont agree with why you are ranting, and maybe think you are wrong.. but at least they CARE enough to READ what you wrote you know? Thats a pretty good feeling.

What I like to do is just Think about it a bit. Like my mom threatened to get rid of my cats again to day... I sat back and thought about "what if she really did" and I thought through it about how mad I would be.. and then I fantasized that I won the lottery and moved away from her and never spoke to her again.. or I put on an act and pretended to forget it, and when I had money I would buy a big old van or truck, and one day when she wasnt home I would just load it up and just get the heck out of here and never go back.

BUt I realized it would be a kind of silly thing to do. My mom really pisses me off sometimes but I wouldnt be able to not talk to her ever again.

(But I have always thought that if I made enough money I would buy my mom a home, and I could always NOT do that. )

I also liek to bite things when I am angry. Pillows work good, but sometimes I'll unconciously bite myself (like when someone is talking down to me like I am a moron and dont know anything)

Erm, stew, simmer, get madder, have heated internal conversations with the person who annoyed me, boil for a bit, have a big vent (if no-one's around I'll write it out) and then get over it and move on!!

I cry, vent to a friend, or sing along to angry music REALLY loud (if the house is empty of course!) I really like the last option, it seems to be the most satisfying

I don't get mad - I get even!

I just call my friend and vent then it's over and I'm happy again!

Call a friend, call my husband (if the mood isn't directly caused by him..haha), listen to music or sleep. Personally, I like sleep the best...

I know I have to find a better way to vent my anger but I'll usually just cry and then go to sleep early. I find it helps though..I wake up the next morning and feel a bit better about the situation.

I have a session with my therapist, i.e. write about it in my blog.
It's great! If anyone I didn't know ever found my blog, they'd think I was a very angry and sad person, b/c that's almost all I ever write about, and it's just to get it out. I write about things I'm trying to figure out too, and a few good things. I only let one person go there because that way I know it's going to be read, and I don't have to worry about whom I say what about.

Purr, I do the same thing. I have a secret blog that I keep in draft. No one need see it, it's there purely for the art of sorting the anger out in my own head. Usually, whether I'm furious or upset or brokenhearted or happy as all hell, writing for a few hours gives me clarity, soothes me. Gives me some zen.

I've also been known, however, to throw a complete and utter temper tantrum. Complete with stomping, balled-up fists, jumping up and down and screaming. I looked like I was 3. Thank god I was alone. And I was pregnant at the time, so I had that to use as my excuse. Cause I usually don't actually pitch a fit physically like that.

Singing Alanis Morissette, her early 90's stuff, when she was really good n angry, at full volume, preferably while standing on a coffee table.
