Sophie is strictly indoors. I can't take the worry I'd feel about letting her outside. Percy came to me as an outdoor stray, so he is still outside as a "barn cat".

Lily is an indoor cat. We have fisher cats in our neighborhood, and cats have bene known to go missing.

Princess (who lives with my dad) is an outdoor cat. Actually, when she was born (I was 11) my mother was still alive and was allergic to cats. Princess would stay in the basement when she was inside. (And I'd bring her into my room when I was home.)

Both. Sashka started out the first year of her life exclusively indoors, but now they both come in and out - although really they only go out for about an hour a day, maximum. They prefer it inside and only go out to go to the toilet or sit on the walk and get some fresh air. It's great because I know they don't wander or go on the road, and our front yard is fenced all the way so they don't even bother jumping over that!

Only indoor.
It's so much nicer to have indoor cats. I know where they are at all times, I am not worried about them being killed by a car or a mean person, and they are nice and clean so they can sleep on the bed without me freaking out that they carry some deadly disease.

Indoor because if we let him out he'll want out all the time and there's way too many dangers out there for him.

Indoor only! All my cats (the ones I have, and my parents) were all former strays that had to be conformed to indoor cats. I don't agree with cats being outdoor unsupervised, and would never subject my own cats to the dangers that exist out there. It's just to dangerous.

My two are indoor but they have a nice big inside porch with three sides being windows they hang otu in, and I also take them for walks on their leashes.
We got anew neighbor who is fixing up the hous e next door for him and his wife. It turns out his parents own the 4 acres or so of wooded area behind our house. We helped him clear the forested area that goes with his lot, and I asked him if he would mind if I took my cats for walks back there.
HE has five cats and two doggies himself and he didnt mind, so now my cats have nice high grass to lie in and wooded area to run around in. They aboslutely LOVe it. But I always check them to make sure they havent got anything on them before they come back in the house.
I love to take my kitties outside on their leashes, its as fun for me as it is for them.

Indoor/outdoor. Why? Well, why not?

They're safe, they're "street smart", they're fixed.

Reilly is an indoor cat only

He's gotten out once or twice and hurt himself each time (tried to climb the tree and fell). Now we keep a very close eye on him and never let him out. Plus that where we live now has alot of wildlife that I wouldn't want him to tangle with.

All 6 are indoor, but we do have a cat safe patio that they occasionally go out on with supervision.

Indoor. When I was a teenager, our cat Speedy died of feline leukemia. It broke my heart.

They're safer inside, and they're happy. Even Ace, who was indoor/outdoor till we got him at five years of age, has adjusted really well.

All 15 of mine are inside kitties. I have one outside that I claim although he spends his time two doors down. I raised him after he was found in a dumpster when he was a babv. He spent the first year of his life inside. He can not and will not tolerate being in the house. I have tried. He throws himself against doors, bashes on windows and will resort to jumping out the upstairs window if need be. He is almost eight now. I just smile when others complain about the cats who get on their cars. Malek tells me that he loves by getting on the car!

Growing up my cat was a barn cat.

When I was old enough to have my own, they're all only indoors. I've seen too many cats get hit by cars, get catnapped, get tortured by people, to let my babies out into that. The new kitten I want to leash train though, so I can take him wherever I go. If Pansy calms down somewhat, I might try to leash train her too. I think she'd love the outdoors. But never alone.

Both of my babies are strictly indoor kitties. I live in the heart of a busy city and letting them out would expose them to an endless list of dangers, including but not limited to, cars, pet theives, dogs, strays infected with diseases, etc.

Indoor only. I live next to a very busy road and there's no way they could survive here. Even if I was more secluded, I think I'd worry myself sick if they went out. My kittens are happy being indoors only, and so am I.
