Hi everyone,
I'm new here, a friend told me about this forum. I have a question about my kitty....

She's almost 10 yrs old and we just moved here to St. Louis from AZ. I got her checked out before we left and she got a clean bill of health. However a few months ago, I noticed that she has a spot in front of her tail that is thinning out pretty quickly.

could this be an allergy? mange?? It doesn't appear to be sore, or infected or anything, just thin...

Does anyone have any idea what this could be?? Should I be worried?? She's getting older and I think she's developing arthritis in her hip area, when I pet her there she meows and raises her tail and butt.

I'd appreciate any help I can get... Thanks so much in advance!

most likely a climate change but a vet check in new town would be good to rule out any yukkies

Could be a number of things.. mange, fleas, ringworm..

Also, sometimes stress (from things such as moving) can trigger things like excessive overgrooming.

Like sharky said, best thing is to get her to a vet just to be sure everything is OK.
