I have two cats. Both are two years old and of course they both have their own issues. Around six months ago I switched them from Purina Cat Chow Indoor to Innova. I really love what it did for their fur. And they seem to be really spry.

But now Samwise contantly has hair balls. He never had them when he was on Cat Chow which I know isn't a good food. So I'm getting ready to switch again. Preferably to a good high quality food.

If at all possible I'd like to stick to one food for both the boys as they are free fed and Samwise will flip out if there isn't food down. (He was rescued off the street as kitten and now has this one food issue.) The other problem is Gandalf he has a very sensative stomach and man an he stink up the place if the food he eats doesn't agree with his stomach (and on top of it he doesn't cover his poo when he goes.)

Anybody have any suggestions? I just don't want to wind up buying a bunch of different foods and having one of both the boy's problems agravated.

Thanks

Iams would be my very last choice.
I'd try Give Nutro Indoor a try. Lower quality that Innova, but still a great feed.
I've got allergy and sensitive tummy cats here and no problems on Nutro, plus hairballs are easily passed (except my longhair who brings them up) and fewer hairballs as well.

Consider trying Nutro Natural Choice Complete Care new Indoor formula, it is supposed to also help reduce hair balls. Nutro is not what I'd call a super premium food, but it is a quality food (and one I prefer over Iams).

What about giving your babies some Laxatone? Is that an all right alternative for hairballs? My vet has just recommended it for our Mitts that does not have hair balls, but rather eats my hair off my head!

They said it was good for ensuring good intestinal health, including getting rid of hairballs.
