Anyone ever have this problem?

I went to buy my cats some new toys and ran into the Siamese breeder I got Elle and Simon from, turns out she has another litter (Simon's brothers and sisters!) The litter includes a lilac point male, lilac point female (already gone) and a chocolate point female.

I decided to check them out just to play with them and I fell in love with the little female chocolate point. I swear there was a moment when she looked into my eyes and my whole body just melted
. She is the cutest little thing, sheâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s not very vocal and fairly shy but as soon as I picked her up she snuggled into the crook of my neck and relaxed.

I just donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t know what to do. I have Simon who is 2 years and 3 months old, and Elle who is 8 months old and I really WANT another cat, but I just donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t know if itâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s the Siamese lover in me that wants EVERY Siamese cat she sees. My boyfriend says no, because we take Simon and Elle for walks and Elle is a handful when sheâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s outside but then again, we both love them so much and would give this little one a great home. My boyfriend always wanted a chocolate point too.

Guys, what should I do? How do I tell my heart to forget this little baby?

Do you guys think 2 is enough for me now?

My cats are the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I guess when you get that kind of unconditional love in your life you want more.

The little chocolate point stole my heart..

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think it all depends on 2 things, money and living space. If those things are covered I'd say go for it

Are you asking your friends who don't like to hear stories about your cats, or the crazy catladies (and gentlemen) at TCS? Something tells me which answer you want. Keep discussing it with your boyfriend, because obviously a new family member needs to be wanted by all, but otherwise go for it!

And post pics!

I ask myself do I have room to make them comfortable as active family members..and do i have the money to care of their daily needs, as well as vet care. if i get a yes to both..we have a new family member.

I'm with the others on this - if you have the space and the money to care for a third cat, then follow your heart.

I agree with what everyone else has said. Another thing to consider is the number of animals you are allowed to have in your municiplaity (if that's the right term). Where I live, we aren't supposed to have more than 2 animals per residence. I also live in an apartment so that's another factor.

If you have the money and know your cats would be ok, then i would go for it.

I'd love another, and came very close to getting one until my vet said she didn't think a 3rd cat would help Rosie
It's hard to believe, especially when she gets on with Sophie, but because of Rosie's nature she thought she might get stressed out by another.

I could take a chance but i don't want another set back with my little girl

Yes, I have that problem but I am only allowed to have one cat (apartment rules) and already have 2. So, no more cats for me unless I move.

I have a mantra --- "All kittens are cute, all kittens are cute, all kittens are cute ---" You get the picture
. It's terribly hard to resist, but I have a practical streak in me so that I CAN resist, as I know if I take on another it's not just food, but also additional litter, litter pans, and most expensively, additional veterinary care.

I thought I was going to end up with another one though when Sunny saw this red tabby boy on my breeder's site that didn't seem to be going to a new home
. Fortunately when I e-mailed her with an update on the boys and mentioned it, she said that he had gone to Florida to a new family. *Whew!*

Thanks for the replies everyone

We went to visit her again today and she is as cute as ever, but we decided together that we are going to wait another year. Elle is only 8 months old, still a kitten practically, and we want to train her a bit more before we get another baby.

We also want to give Simon and Elle more time to bond before we introduce a new family member. It was a hard decision because we both would LOVE to have her if the circumstances were right.

I am also a student and although I do have money I want to make sure I can cover any and all vet costs that may arise for Simon and Elle as they are my primary responsibility.

It's sad, but I know she will find a good home.

I will get a trio of smeezes eventually
!
