Since I started medicating Billy for his eye (which involves wrapping him up in a towel, forcing his eye open, and applying the medicine, all of which he struggles through) he's become more affectionate! He cuddles with me more and sleeps with me at night. In fact, right now, he's asleep with his head pillowed on my foot and just took a nap with me. I thought cats usually got angry and snubbed you after you tortured them with medicine.
How about your cats?

He feels a lot better with the medicine and he thanks you for it.
Same with my gang. They act like they're angry for a few minutes after being given the bitter medicine but surprisingly they show more affection later in the day.

Either they're telling you "Look ma, in exchange for not "torturing" me tomorrow, how about extra kisses from me today?" OR "Hey ma, what is that stuff? I'm feeling great! Thank you! So, maybe no need to go through the same "torture" again?"
