I need a smart computer/camcorder person.

I'm doing this as a favor for my favorite niece.
Two weeks ago she had her twins very early (33 weeks). They will be in hospital until at least her original due date (the 1st week of October).
As she lives in the Chicago area they will not be coming to visit for a couple of months. They bought a cam corder for pictures of the babies.
She thought there might be some type of software available to turn some of the movies into digital pictures? If this is true please let me know and I told her I would investigate this for her. She leaves for hospital every day at 6:30-7:00 am stays all day (its an hour away) and returns home about 12 hrs later. She was bedridden for 5 weeks before and has yet to regain her strength. Poor girl she is my favorite niece. So to save her time (which she doesn't have any to spare) I amy helping her. I can get the name of the camera if it helps. Thanks again for your assistance!!

I have a program that does just that! I got it at Best Buy... it's called Pinnacle Studio Eight.... I can edit film, take snap shots from my camera. In fact, a lot of my pictures of my cats are from taking a still grab from my camera using this program. Here's a link of where you can get it. This one is Pinnacle 9, though, but that'll be just fine. It's a bit pricy at $83, but I'd say it's well worth the money.

So if I understand they wil purchase and download and it will give them instructions on how to turn pictures from their camcorder to pictures so they can email them???
I just want them to buy the correct thing (I'll check your link too!!)

Yes, but to e-mail them, you just attach them to the e-mail after you save them. It should have a feature to "Grab a Frame" and it will let you save it to your computer.
