I am currently looking after two cats for a woman at work, as her house was sold before she could find somewhere else to move into. no idea how long they will be with me, but it is just however long it takes her to find somewhere, I am not going to rush her. At the moment I have 6 cats in the house, and only one will sit on my knee, so certainly not in a rush to give her back!! They are desperately trying to get out of their room though, might have to risk giving them access to the house for an hour soon. The tortie is called Cleo, she does need to lose a bit of weight. The tabby is called Spider (named after her habit of eating spider plants!!). They are really lovely cats.

Awww! They are cuties!

Which one sits on your lap?! I bet you don't want her to leave!

It's so good of you to tek care of them while their Meowmy finds a new home!

I hope she finds somewhere soon!

Spider is the lap cat, and I love tabbies anyway!! One of my other fosters is going in 45 mins, so will be down to 5, which is my limit I think!!

I will actually. Have grown quite fond of her, and she is the kind of cat I would have kept if circumstances were different. I take on older cats, so to have young cats running round the place is really good, and I grew quite fond of the young cat I had before her.

5 is better though, especially as the temporary cats are being kept in the cats room, and the other 3 are loose in the house (2 are resident cats), so splitting myself between them all can be hard.

I don't know how you do it - fostering! I think I would become too attached too quickly!

You do great work though!

It must be nice to have little ones zooming around again!

I decided when I started that I wouldn't get attached, and that they would only be in their room to help, and I am 'Auntie' rather than 'Mum' as they aren't mine, I am only looking after them till we can find them a home. Have only stuck with the last one I think, i managed not to get attached till I joined a cat forum in Oct!! The longest I have had a foster for is 5 months, and I really didn't think I would be able to let him go without tears, but I have never cried over a foster cat going, apart from an oldie that was with me until it was his time to go to the Bridge - i did let myself get attached to him though, as I knew I was his last home. She was the only young cat I had I think, forgot to ask how old the two temporary ones are. They are going to have to come out of the room at some point though, they keep howling and attacking my carpet.

Yeah, would post individual pics, if I can only remember how to do it - is it the img from photobucket?

They are. Cleo (the tortie) is the eldest, yet is more playful. Spider is just a lovebug and demands fuss, the only prob is she is so demanding that she pushes Cleo away. I am tempted to separate them for half an hour to give Cleo some undivided attention - I may be getting two more fosters in the next week though, so may not have the space for much longer.
