Ginny passed away, how sad. I've heard her story many times, what a remarkable dog (and a remarkable man too.) I believe it was Cat Fancy Magazine that selected her as "Cat of the Year" some years back. As I recall she was the only dog ever featured on their cover.

I read the book about her. Ginny was truly a special dog. I'm glad to see that her owner still plans on helping the strays, though. R.I.P. dear Ginny.

That dog was one in a billion. I'm sure she will be missed. And how cool is her owner, for rescuing all the cats Ginny found, and feeding the feral colonies? That was a great team, huh?
Some dogs just love kitties...I had a Labrador who would let kittens suckle on his elbows, and he'd groom them as well. Two of the kittens kept suckling on his elbows even after they were grown. The 3 of them took naps all snuggled up together.

if you go to CROSSING THE BRIDGE on TCS you will find where I posted about Ginny's death. She just passed on the 26th at 17 years old. I feel so bad for her owner, though as they wrere so close. The thread is called Cat's Saint dies. Rest in Peace Ginny!
