My heart goes out to all of you who have lost a cat, my 5 month old kitten Booja disapeared last Saturday, I have no idea what happened to her, I saw her Saturday afternoon and that night when I called her and her sister Julie in for the night only Julie came, I have called and looked for her all week and nothing, it hurts worse that I don't know what happened, even if it turns out she has been killed I would rather know than not know.

I'm sorry that you lost your kitten. Have you tried posting notices, if possible? I'll cross my fingers here and still hope for the best for you.

I pray you can find your precious kitten safe and sound. If not, I hope you can find closure as to what happened her.

Dont lose all hope in finding her. About a month ago, I heard a kitten crying outside my door, and when I opened it, an 8 week old kitten came running right inside. She obviously was someone's kitten, because she was so friendly and well taken care of, but she was lost, hungry and very very lonely! There were no posters up anywhere, and she didnt belong to any of my closest neighbors, so I decided to keep her, thinking if her previous owners were that careless with her they didnt deserve her back. I have since then discovered a few things about "Sahara". She loves to escape outside(she's not allowed outside), and is very sociable! Last week I found her playing with my neighbors kids...and I didnt even realize she was gone! So, I know her pervious owners werent as irrisponsible as I first thought...she's just very naughty!
She has a great life and home with me...and she's safe and happy. I know I couldnt give her back now if the previous owners were found..as selfish as that sounds...she's part of my family now. So, get posters and lost adds up and around everywhere you can, it's very possible someone has opened their doors to her also! Wish you the best in finding her!

Was Booja already spayed? If not, there's a good chance that she's gone off to "check out the bright lights of Gay Parree". she might have gone further than she's able to navigate. Please put out flyers, advertise on the local radio, etc., also, check out Petfinders & look up "found pets". My Joey went missing for a couple of days; I think that he'd gone off to follow some hiking kids; I advertised on the radio, and late the second evening, a car drove half-way up the road, then turned around; in a few minutes, Joey was meowing his head off, at the door - he was completely covered in dirt, even his ears, & his fur was spiked with dried mud (there'd been a bad storm the night he disappeared). No one came to the house to claim the reward, so I have no idea of what happened to him. He was very, very tired, scared & I had to force water into him, whereupon he drank & drank. The vet didn't want to see him in person; she said to give him the rest of the day to recover without adding the extra stress of taking him to the office; she was right, by the following morning, Joey was back to normal, except for a tendency to hiss at the other cats...
I agree - it's the not knowing that is the worst sort of worry....{{{Prayers & vibes}}} that your Booja comes home soon!

It has been nine days since Booja disapeared, in responce to catsknowme, I was told by my towns vet to wait until the kittens were 6 months old and have had all their shots before I got them spayed, they are only 5 months old now, I planned on getting them spayed next month, so no Booja is not spayed yet. At what age do kittens become sexualy active? She won't be 6 months old until Sept 14th.

Cats can get pregnant as early as 4 months of age. Please keep your kittens indoors only until they have received all their shots and have been spayed. Once they have been spayed...I would encourage you to check into an outdoor enclosure for your kittens:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...22enclosure%22

They are fairly inexpensive to make and will allow your cats the chance to explore the outdoors without the possibility of being lost. I do hope Booja comes back home and that she isn't pregnant.
