Anne and I are now in need of quality photos of your cat(s). We have run out on our supply of wallpaper that we announce in our newsletter each month. The pictures have to be exceptional and we find that we reject a lot that are submitted. The photos should be at least 1200 pixels wide and 900 pixels high in a good quality image. When you are scanning them the higher dpi the better - preferably more than 300dpi. In the end it's a question of both dpi and image size that produce the right amout of pixels and a good quality image. Sometimes, a really good picture loses it's focuses when it goes that large.

If we do accept your photo, it is with you understanding that we offer it for free to our subscribers to Kittybytes. And chances are your kitty will be gracing desktops worldwide-
Here are some of our past wallpaper so you can see what we are looking for.

If you have pictures you believe might qualify, please email them to me at [email protected] and put in your subject line Wallpaper

Thanks!

I just sent you two pictures, in 2 emails, because the file size is extremely large on both of them. Can you let me know if you got them? They're so big I'm afraid either my email will reject sending them, or your email will reject recieving them.

I'll try sending at least one..
If you like them, I still have the large, original file if that is preferred-I downsized them for 1200 pixels. If so, let me know.

I have several photos to send, but the files will obviously be quite large. I can send them (probably individually), but I could also:

1. Send them in a zip file.

2. Upload them to an online hosting site, and send you the links. I believe the pictures can be downloaded from there.

3. Upload them to an online photo album, and e-mail you the link to that. They can be viewed as a group, and any that you might choose to use can be downloaded from there.

Do any of these options work better than e-mailing them directly?

I have LOTS of pictures of all kinds of purebreds. I'm a professional cat photographer!

If I can leave my logo and/or copyright info I don't mind anything being used (as long as it isn't sold to people).

I'll wait to hear if it's alright before I send anything though.

Hey guys,

The photos all were so awesome! Thank you for showing off your beautiful kitties. But Anne is the determining factor on if the photos will be accepted, and many were denied simply because there was to much going on in the photograph. Wallpaper needs to be simple, a shot of your cat in a neutral background so the focus is on the cat. So if you don't see your cat as wallpaper- please understand it had nothing to do with us thinking your cat wasn't pretty or cute enough, but more about the photo and what was going on in it at the time.

These photos would be great for the Meowhoo Photo Contest though- if you want me to add your photos to the line-up PM me and I will be happy to. Only one photo per member though will be allowed-

Thanks again for sending them- they were a joy to see all these gorgeous kitties-

Thank you for the kind offer, but the wallpaper will have the Meowhoo logo on it. So probably best not to send them.

I do have enough wallpapers now guys and I thank you all for sending in these wonderful pictures. Again, not many were actually chosen (yell at Anne for that please!)
But all were delightful to look at and I am now closing this thread-
