That's Right! After 6 LONG days of vet hospitalization Drew is *FINALLY* well enough to come home. His temperature is down, he hasn't thrown up in almost 72 hours, and he had a bowel movement last night (which means he ate food and digested it and everything woohoo!).

I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED! In one hours I get to go pick him up. I can NOT WAIT!

Thanks again for the thoughts, prayers, and vibes that were sent for him.

Bad news.. GRRR!!!!

My tire is flat and the vet closed 5 minutes ago. So that means I can't pick Bear up until Monday. GRRRRRRRR!

He's home he's home he's home!!!!!!!!!

My baby is here and he wandered around the bedroom a bit and then went straight to the bathroom sink (I always leave water trickling for the cats) and I swear he drank for about 5 minutes straight. His brothers are hissing at him and one of them tried to slap him on the nose, but I took a wet rag and rubbed Drew down and then rubbed the other two down with it and then rubbed Drew back down. That seemed to help a bit and they're hissing a lot less.

And OMG! I have to give him 3 different types of medication. Poor baby.
He has an appetite stimulant, an antibiotic, and an immunization booster. Poor thing. Two of them are liquid though so it'll be fairly easy to medicate. AND they gave me these cool syringes that I can suck soft cat food (and the pill) that he needs and then I can just stick it in his mouth and shoot it down. They said it's much easier that way and since cats don't produce much saliva it's more gentle.

I'm so happy to have him home. I played with him and snuggled with him. He has to go back on Friday for a check up to make sure his white blood cells are back up to normal.

Welcome home Drew Bear! We missed you!
