2. What is your favorite holiday and why?Christmas. Why? our workplace is closed and I like it that way.

3. What is your favorite holiday tradition? don't really have any. days, are days in this house.

4. What really puts you in a festive mood? the losing of our store. I don't like it can anyone tell???


5. What is your favorite holiday memory?The first time Brad bought me a pumpkin. My ex never let me have one, so he bought one and we carved it on my apt floor, it was fun!!!!!( and a few days later, it STUNK!!!!! LOL!)

6. Do you have any holiday *bad* memories? no not anymore.

7. Do you dress up for Halloween? What was your best costume?I used to. My best costume was cat woman!!! I was HOT let me tell YOU!!!!!!

8. What is the weirdest costume you ever saw? don't see many but the weirdest was Anna Nicole( I think that's how to spell it) the woman who married the old guy and then did the weight loss commercials.

9.. Does your neighborhood have many trick or treaters? I don't know, I'm always working. No kids I have to work, the laws of the beast(work)

10. Did you do “tricks†on houses when you were a kid? once, I TP'ed a house, but nothing to terrible.

11. Do you have any special Thanksgiving traditions? nope, just going out to dinner w/ Brads family.

13. What is the worst present you ever got? strange dolls that I have NO idea to this day what to do with them, so they are in the closet.

15. How old were you when you stopped believing in Santa? And why did it happen? I'm not sure on either question. I just know it happened.

16. Are you a minimalist holiday decorator or a scary “Nation Lampoon†one, or somewhere in between? I put up a wreath my friend makes for me each year and that's all. nothing more.


17. Does your new years usually entail: A) what? I donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t remember I am always bombed out of my gourd by midnight
B) some nice party, ring it in baby! C) indifference, Oh I just sort of sleep through it. It's my birthday and last year it included, (A) this year I'm not sure what's going to happen but I hope not (A) I was SO sick the next day!

Well as you may know I am guest hosting the questions this week for the vacationing Susan. I hope you enjoy these and they bring up some interesting comments. (I am going to post my answers below too since I am so used to answering Susan's each week!)

5. What is your favorite holiday memory? I can't think of any right off the top of my head, but I'm sure there are several.

6. Do you have any holiday *bad* memories? Not that I can think of.

7. Do you dress up for Halloween? What was your best costume? I am a little old to be dressing up, I hit the haunted houses instead.

8. What is the weirdest costume you ever saw? Well, my brother dressed up as a female witch so noone would recognize him. It was a little weird and it didn't work.

9. Does your neighborhood have many trick or treaters? Tons, but I'm never home to see them firsthand.

10. Did you do “tricks†on houses when you were a kid? Kinda glad to say NO!

11. Do you have any special Thanksgiving traditions? Just the family get-ups and all that.

13. What is the worst present you ever got? Clothes that went out of style in the 1800's...

15. How old were you when you stopped believing in Santa? And why did it happen?
Around 10 - 11. I walked in on my dad and oldest brother setting up the presents.

16. Are you a minimalist holiday decorator or a scary “Nation Lampoon†one, or somewhere in between? I would decorate the whole house from top to bottom if my mom would let me. Usually we do alot, but we don't go overboard.

2. What is your favorite holiday and why? Christmas ~ being with family, the festive atmosphere, the music

3. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Cherry Cheesecake for dessert on Christmas day

and watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

4. What really puts you in a festive mood? Christmas hymns/carols

5. What is your favorite holiday memory? I can't really think of any favourites at the moment, although I always loved waking up to a blanket of snow on Christmas Day. That always made it so much more festive!

6. Do you have any holiday *bad* memories? The worst memory was the year my grandmother passed away on December 27th. She raised me from the age of 3 so it was the same a losing a mother. I hated Christmas for quite a few years after that. The next worse was 2 Christmases ago when my aunt found out her now ex-husband was cheating on her ~ she found out Christmas Eve!!

7. Do you dress up for Halloween? What was your best costume? Not anymore.

13. What is the worst present you ever got? A denim skirt from an aunt and uncle. For starters, I don't wear skirts! Plus it was too small!!

14. What is the best? For my 19th birthday my aunt put together 2 big photo albums of the first 18 years of my life. Another was this year; my friend got me a Celtic cat pendant that I wear everyday. I love Celtic stuff and of course cats so it was just perfect!

15. How old were you when you stopped believing in Santa? And why did it happen? 11 ~ I found the keyboard I had asked for in our storage closet!!

2. What is your favorite holiday and why?
Probably Christmas because I get to see my grandparents, uncles, cousins...

3. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
When I was a kid I liked going with my brothers and my dad drive around looking at Christmas decorations after Christmas Eve dinner. My mom and grandma always stayed behind because they had to do dishes... and when we came back, there were gifts under the tree. Santa Claus must be really quiet cause my mom and grandma never heard a thing!
That's one of the few traditions in my family I liked. We don't do that now that we're grown up anymore.

4. What really puts you in a festive mood?
Booze!

5. What is your favorite holiday memory?
Probably Christmas in my ex-boyfriend's family.

6. Do you have any holiday *bad* memories?
Yep. New Year's Eve at my dad's uncle's place. That was always horrible. There were nobody my age there, just distant relatives I didn't really know or care about much.
And because we had to go there every year, my parents wouldn't let me stay up until midnight on New Years Eve (they thought it wasn't a "reasonable" thing to do either.


7. Do you dress up for Halloween? What was your best costume?
I did when I was a kid. My best costume was my Christmas Tree costume. Either that or the sandwich!


8. What is the weirdest costume you ever saw?
I don't know about the weirdest... but the best one was when my brother dressed as a robot. He had some parts of his costume that would actually move (he used some battery operated Robotix kits). Including some mechanism to take the candy and put it inside a box in the costume. That meant that he usually ended up with double candy cause people wanted to see the mechanism again. That was brilliant!


9.. Does your neighborhood have many trick or treaters?
No. We lived on an older street that was pretty dark... most people went to the newer better lit streets


10. Did you do “tricks†on houses when you were a kid?
No. I was a good kid!


11. Do you have any special Thanksgiving traditions?
Not in my family. We never celebrated Thanksgiving.


12. Do you like cranberry sauce that maintains the shape of the can? Or the nouveau ones?
Don't like cranberry sauce.


13. What is the worst present you ever got?
Pyjamans from my parents that were about 3 sizes too big (I weight about 120 lbs, 5'6"... and they bought me an XL )

Probably the little baby from "My Little Pony" when I was about 6 years old. I was so happy! (I had spent hours before that staring at it from the catalogue... I guess my grandma got the hint!)


15. How old were you when you stopped believing in Santa? And why did it happen?
I don't remember. I must have been really young.

Pretty minimalist. I like to have a few nice decorations.

Actually, I can't remember. I feel sick often, but I never vomit... I hate vomiting so I force myself not to.

Moving on Thursday. Lots of stress and emotional goodbyes. It'll be hard!

Christmas, I love being with family and just the love that is around.

Oh, the dinner, family gathered around talking and eating.

The music, decorations, and seeing all the lights on the homes with their x-mas trees in the windows.

Having the whole family together laughing and joking with eachother. Oh, one where my Uncles were play fighting and Grandpa got up to chase them with his cane. It was halarious.

One, My dad didn't call me or came to see me

7. Do you dress up for Halloween? What was your best costume?
OH, YES!! I dressed up as a French Maid. It was my Birthday Party, My birthday is Five before Halloween. It was awesome!! Story behind that one. We even got a bouncehouse.

This guy dressed up as a Robot, it acually looked somewhat real and they were playing the song out front, Mr Robot

9.. Does your neighborhood have many trick or treaters?
Tons, It's so sweet seeing all the kids out, but my two are the cutest. We already got their two coustumes already.

Yea, but we are not going to talk about that one

Just getting together with family for a big feast. I always ask why we have Thanksgiving, we're Native Americans and our kind got slaughtered after that??

Don't know, I apprecciate all gifts that I get. Just the fact that they were thinking enough of you to get you a present.

My husband went and got my weddding ring fixed and put a bigger diamond in it

My mom had me believing in Santa till I was in Fifth Grade, can you belive that???

I had a procedure done about 8 months ago and I was vomiting from the Morphine. It was horrible cause I was so out of it, I didn't realize that I was vomiting in the Living Room. My poor hubby,

My upbringing says yes, my faith says I believe in a greater power, but not the traditional One that I was raised to believe in.

2. What is your favorite holiday and why? Halloween, I love to watch my kids enjoy it.

2. What is your favorite holiday and why? Thanksgiving because my birthday sometimes falls on it and I LOOOOOVE turkey!

3. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Christmas morning, my family gets together to eat Tacumseh pie and then my brother and I are responsible for sorting out everyone's gifts. Then we go around in a circle and take turns opening. Nothing terribly exciting about that, but it's all I've ever known and loved

(oh, and my 2nd favorite tradition is attending the drunkfest, er, I mean parade on St. Patrick's Day!

4. What really puts you in a festive mood? cold weather and holiday music on the radio


5. What is your favorite holiday memory? My cousin and I used to make up goofy and EXTREMELY CORNY skits and put on little Christmas shows for our family. We always got 'em laughing

6. Do you have any holiday *bad* memories? The first Christmas after my grandmother died. It was our first and only Christmas that we've ever NOT gone down to FL.

7. Do you dress up for Halloween? What was your best costume? I haven't dressed up in a couple years, but I used to. My best costume was the Whinnie the Pooh costume that mom made for me when I was 3. I even carried a red balloon and a "hunny" bucket

9.. Does your neighborhood have many trick or treaters? This will be my first Halloween at this apartment, so we'll see!

11. Do you have any special Thanksgiving traditions? Not really....But whenever my birthday falls on Thanksgiving we have a birthday cake along with pumpkin pie

I was 8-ish. It was Easter time. A few days before Easter, I saw some candy hidden in my parents' bedroom. Well, imagine my surprise when I get my Easter basket and see THE SAME CANDY inside!

I threw the basket across the room and yelled, "YOU'RE THE EASTER BUNNY! AND YOU KNOW WHAT? YOU'RE PROBABLY SANTA CLAUSE, TOO!!!!" Suffice it to say, that was also the day my little brother learned about the harsh realities of the mythical holiday folks, too

14. What is the best ? a copy of the Lion King on video (couldn't find it anywhere) that my boyfriend at the time searched for and finally found on ebay for me.

I do, but I usually just throw something together. My best costume was the year I was a prostitute (for an adults-only party)

At the oldest, 6. I can't say for sure why I stopped, but I can remember that even when I believed in Santa, it didn't seem logical to me that "from Santa" was always in my dad's handwriting. Come to think of it, I never thought Santa made much sense. But it was fun while it lasted.
