I'm heaving one giant sigh of relief today, does anyone else have anything they're feeling relieved about? Grateful for? Or just plain super happy to have behind them?

Here are a few reasons why I'm breathing a little easier today:

1) Brendan's mom just called him and told him that his dad made it through lung surgery without a hitch. They travelled all of the way to Colorado to have it done with this special method that is less invasive, and I know that Brendan was incredibly nervous about it. In fact, when he called to tell me things went well he was bawling thanks to his enormous amount of relief, which of course nearly brought me to tears as well! Thank goodness for such a successful surgery!

So that calls for one huge deep calming breath right there! PHEW!

2) My roommate is ok! She got into a car accident yesterday on her way back to the apartment from UCF. It had been raining on and off and the person in front of her hit their brakes a bit hard and when Tiff hit hers they locked up and she slid into the back of them probably going between 40-45mph! We don't know how much hope there is for her car as it looks like the frame is bent since she can't close her sunroof, but one of her parents is going to let her use their car in the interim. She was having bad headaches last night though so I took her to the emergency room to get her checked out (it was too late in the day for a regular doctor) and she is OK! I can tell you that I nearly had a heartattack yesterday when I pulled into the parking lot and saw her 2000 Monte Carlo badly smashed with both airbags deployed!

But because she's ok overall, that counts for a second giant exhalation!

3) The first week of school is over! Parking was mayhem this week with people driving around for an HOUR on campus attempting to find a spot. It's always the worst this week as everyone is actually attending their classes and it makes a person feel like they're going to go nuts! But, it's over now, and I've made it out alive!

So there you have it! My chest is feeling much lighter without the weight of these things worrying me, who else is feeling a bit more fancy free this evening and what for?!?!

I absolutely do have so much to be grateful for right now Amy! Tonight I'm not doing ANYTHING! Tiff went back to Ormond Beach with her mom and the tow truck guy to see what needs to be done now and it seems like tonight will be some alone time with the kitties! I think it's just going to be nice to sit around with no noise and enjoy the evening. Tomorrow night might be time for some kind of celebration though! I know that I definitely already feel like leaping out of my chair and dancing my fool head off, so hopefully I'll transfer that energy over to something fun for tomorrow night!! With my best friend's birthday and Brendan's as well being just around the corner, I think I'm in for some serious celebrating in the next few weeks as it is!
