Back again

Hi, gentle readers.

I am happy to be rejoining the group after too long an absence. A difficult physical problem ruined both my disposition and my health for a bit, and I felt it better to step off the site for awhile. I am now back amongst the living, and I am now a "survivor" as was my dear wife, Ann, before me. For those who may remember my last incarnation -- I promise to be good and restrain myself when politics rears its ugly head.

I have a new user name as that seemed the easiest way to get back into the group. So, for those who remember Samwise -- he is back. I have some great new photos of our fur babies, plus a beautiful female Turkish Van on the way to the rest of us on the beach, and I have asked Anne if I might regain my Adult Cat status so that I might post them now and then. Meanwhile, I have browsed around the site and I am so pleased to see so many old friends.

Thank you so much for the kind greeting, Lei. It is indeed nice to be back with such nice people. I don't think I have ever met a "cat person" who was not also a "nice person."

I understood that I must post at least 100 posts in order to attach a photo, and I have never been able to figure out how to use links to a photo site to do this, so it looks like I am going to have to either get my Adult Cat status back or post 100 posts. Either way, I am sure that I will make it eventually.

Meanwhile, you can take a look at some old photos of Samwise at his CatSite home page, here. He is quite a character -- absolutely beautiful but absolutely a charming pest most of the time. Soon his step-sister, Galadriel, will be joining us on the beach. If you take a look at Samwise's home page you will see why Galadriel got her name -- she and Samwise were both fathered by Lord of the Rings.

BTW, my new photos of Samwise and Galadriel, which I hope to be able to show you soon, have gotten me into a little jam. My dear wife, Ann, recently observed that I have had professional portraits made of my cats, but never of Ann.

Women -- go figure.

How nice to see you back, Jim. Wondered where you had got to. Sorry to hear you had some physical difficulties, but glad to hear you've survived them. Looking forward to the return of your Adult Cat status (by whatever means) so that we can see your lovely babies again.

Ann is holding together just fine, Sam. She is out of town at the moment helping son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter move to a new home.

So happy to see that the loveliest gal down under is still online with her Persians.

Two most helpful TCSers have helped me figure out how to link photos to posts, so hopefully I will be able to show you the latest of Samwise and the newest addition to our home, arriving shortly, his step-sister Galadriel. As you most of all would know, they both have a direct link to New Zealand. We hope she will be retiring to the beach from the show circuit in about two weeks.

I am so sorry to hear that you were having issues. I do remember Ann mentioning somethings a while back, and I am pleased to hear that everything is sorting it self out - we really have missed you
