Galadrial is the Elven Queen from Lord of the Rings. If you're not a fan of the books or the movies there's no reason you would've. The writing on my sig is Narsil's name in Elvish.

Same here! I first heard of Galadriel from a friend who was into the Rings. I never could get into the books.

Big Trekkie here - have seen all of the original series stars except Shatner.

I would Say LOTR appeals more to hard-core fantasy fans (and apparently Orlando Bloom fans for the movies
) while Star Trek appeals more to fans of hard Science Fiction. At least insofar as the crossover from literary fans to media fans goes. I'm eclectic, I like 'em all
, although fantasy is my first love.
