Hi Everybody! I am new here too! I think I skipped a couple of steps, however, since I already posted a thread on another board...hopefully this is right? I am new to this whole forum thing.

I have got a question to ask: does anybody else out there have six cats inside the house? I am headed that way (1 in garage), and I am feeling a bit overwhelmed. How do you manage it? Also, is there anybody on here who had so many cats AND managed to get pregnant and have human babies? The house is filling up fast; no plans for human babies yet, but thinking about it. Please, any information and encouragement anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

You've got quite a houseful there. Good luck. Although we have 5 kitties only two are indoor only kitties so the house doesn't seem quite as full. There are other members here who have a whole team living with them and I'm sure they'll be posting soon.

Welcome to TCS!
While I only have Sophie in the house, many members do have multiple kitties in their homes. I'm sure they'll have lots of great advice for you!

Welcome to TCS

wow certainly does sound like you have quite a household there - are they rescue cats?
There are many members that have many inside only cats and they will surely be able to offer some advise for the questions you have - you just might need to post this in the most relevant section as not all our members come into this 'new cat' area.

what sort of information are you after exactly? If we know that then we can direct you to the best area to post. You can either post here, or send one of the mentors, or even myself a private message and they will be more than happy to help you out.

WOW what a household - YAY!!! pictures please

welcome again from me & my boys

Thanks so much everyone for the welcome. It makes me feel a whole lot better to know that lots of people love cats as much as my husband and I do. We're both still crazy, but at least we're not alone!

As for the question I posted about being pregnant and having small kids with all six of my cats, where should I post it? I know this probably isn't the right place, but I guess I am looking for tips. I will gladly re-post when I figure out where to put the question.

Should probably ask the vet techs at the vet too. They all seem to have something like 10 animals in thier houses...vet techs are so fabulous. They really care (maybe that will be my next career move!).

Thanks again all!

I suspect the behaviour forum would be a good place to post
as I guess this would be more closely link to animal behaviour than anything else.

When my children were small we had a cat and her litter of kittens - my daughter was 2 years old at the time. She adored the kitties and they were so patient and loving with her. We only had the one adult cat though. I'm sure others have had more than one cat and children too. I think it helped the children to grow up with more love and respect for animals having them around.

If there's anything I can do to help as your learning your way around, just click on my username and send me a private message (PM).

Wecome to TCS, I have 5 adult cats and 3 babies that are 5 mos old and yes it's pretty overwhelming, I'm looking for homes for at least 2 of the female babies, they have already been to the vet and have had everything they need, I already placed 2 of them. I had 5 felmele little ones, it's so hard to give them up they are part of a group of 16 I rescued
now that's really overwhelming to say the least but I'm still standing
It is very rewarding to know that you saved all those lives and it's way to hard not to fall in Love with them, Hope it works out for you, also I hope you enjoy it here
