Hi, all...

Well, we made it through today without her dying or me committing her to a hospital. Now, we just need to make it through the weekend without another massive upset, and we'll be doing well.

It's just so hard. She was really pushing every last button of mine yesterday, and I finally just lost my temper. I didn't yell at her, but that took every last scintilla of discipline I had...

It's exhausting, this 24/7 stuff. Just exhausting. I've got a break coming on Sunday - her husband can take her for the day, so I'll have it free down in San Diego. I think I'll go play at Sea World...and then the next weekend, she will be home with her daughter from Friday - Sunday, and then the next weekend, with her husband again. That's as far as we can plan, and even that is long out there, considering her condition.

It was a very close call yesterday; I almost had to call the police, and almost had her committed. But she came 'round, and we talked a whole lot about behavior, what is acceptable, and what is not.

We'll see...and I gotta say, it was nice to be able to come post, and then see the responses; the hugs, Resperdol, and love is all very necessary...

Yeah, it sucks to be bipolar. Your friend must be in a horrible state right now. Remember that she isn't doing this to you on purpose. She isn't well, and those who don't suffer from the illness often don't understand that.

Gosh Michele! And I thought you were a saint for what you've done for Pengy!! What you are doing for your friend is really and truly amazing, although at the same time driving you to the end of your wits. You've got so much strength and love in you....

Sorry I didn't answer...I didn't see this thread until just now. to you, and I'm always here if you need someone to vent to, scream at, sob on, or just to get your mind off of things for a bit.

Michelle, I've said it before but I'll say it again - there's a special place in heaven for you. You are an amazing woman - Pengy, your friend - my goodness what a weight you carry on your shoulders. Hugs to you and I think I speak for all of us here that if you need us, call on us and we'll be there, even if you just need to vent.
