Okay, so hubby has just returned from a four hour over time stint caused by an entire building being infected by a worm (BTW, make sure your virus software has the most up to date definition files).

We're never apart... we work in the same building, him as a computer tech and me as one of the many administrative lackies. When we found out this worm had killed over 200 PCs and he was given mandatory overtime to fix it, I had to hitch a ride home with a lady in my office... and was dead bored until he got home. (okay, call me lame, but at least we "carpool" to work).

So for those four hours I played around online a bit, and sang a bit (I use my PC to record my voice over karaoke tracks, visit www.cheeps.com to listen to me), flipped on the Weather Channel to see if Katrina was still making a bee-line for us (she is), and then he came home (YAY!!!).

But most of that time I spent po'd at an Ebay seller. I bought something for our haunted house (yes, we plan this early... it's a BIG haunted house), and after two weeks I haven't received it. Furthermore I've emailed twice just asking for confirmation with no response. Some people on a Halloween forum I've been visiting for advice for the haunt have had the same problem... not only that but one of them emailed the lady so much that she cancelled her order, told her the "shipper" lost a "fax" and refunded her money.

So now I'm afraid to email again to ask if my item will even be shipped... she might cancel me, too, and I really want this thing. I've never posted negative feedback for anyone on Ebay, but I'm very tempted, although I might give it another week.

So... post your opinions as randomly as my post has been... do I "tell it like it is" and, even if I get the item in the next few days, post negative feedback? Do I find a therapist to cure me of my hubby addiction? I simply don't know...

Joe and I would LOVE to be able to spend that much time together. He drives a truck, so he's gone 6 days, home 3, on a rotating schedule. We cram as much as we can into those 3 days, but it gets crazy. In the meantime, thank goodness we have free cell to cell phone calls!!!
As for the ebay problem, I guess I was always lucky, never had any major issues. I hope this one works out for you!

I would wait until the item *finally* arrives and give her the harshest ebay rating possible!
Maybe that'll teach her to be so crappy about shipping/not responding to emails!

Ooh, better be careful about that. Just remember that if you give her a negative rating, there is nothing that prevents her from retaliating regardless of how fast you paid or how nice you've been about the whole thing. Not fair, but true. In your situation, I think I would leave no feedback, depending on how one negative will affect your overall feedback (percentage-wise).

Now, if she leaves you feedback first, well then, go crazy.

I agree. Not a good idea due to the fact that she will likely retaliate.
I don't know what your percentage is now..

If you don't receive an item and have a problem getting a refund or if she leaves it first, then yes as evnshawn says "go crazy!"

Ooh, I didn't know that. Sorry for giving bad advice
I need to learn more about the ebay feedback system!

Hey, no problem... it arrived today, having been shipped overnight FedEx. Maybe she figured out I'd been waiting two weeks, and she's been getting some neutral/negative feedback recently about no communication & slow shipping. I still haven't received a response, but at least I have it. So I left her a positive that said "no response to emails, a tad slow on shipping, but satisfied. Good product".

Thanks Bobbie
I got the inspiration for "Smile" from My Girl 2. I recorded it early on before I got some better equipment. One of my favorites of my own is "Moon River". I sang it for my best friend who, like me, loves "Breakfast at Tiffany's".

And thx ScamperDamper
I would've never seen the request... but I got some good ones out there for ya

Trick I learned from ladies on another board...there is a time limit for giving feedback (I think it's 90 days) so if you just wait until the very last minute to leave negative feedback they can't retaliate. Someone also suggested using different ebay IDs for buying and for selling, so if you get a retaliatory negative as a buyer it won't affect you for selling.
