If a mama cat abandons a newborn kitten, then a few days later comes around and decides to carry it off does that mean she is going to accept it?

Do cats carry around kittens they don't intend on taking care of?

The abandoned kitten was being bottle fed - will it know how to nurse?

I believe if she comes back for them, then they are not abandoned and she has accepted them. She may have been looking for a safer place to take the kitten.

I have never seen a mom cat carry around a kitten they weren't going to take care of unless it was to move a sick one away from the rest of the litter.

The kitten will know how to nurse.

Honestly...I'd watch the momma and kitten very closely to see if the kitten is nursing and to ensure that the momma is accepting the kitten now.
