American Curl Kittens in Will Kill in Utah

Boy when it rains, it pours. This is the second time in the last few months, that a litter of apparent American Curl kittens has been found in the Salt Lake City area.

There is an utterly adorable black and white mom (looks shorthair to me, straight ears)..very groucho marx mustache in her markings, and of the 8 kittens, 6 have curled ears. There are black and whites, blue van's (imo), and one colorpoint (looks to be a seal point).

So far, I am unable to find a rescue group that can pull and foster them - they *are* in a will-kill shelter. If you know of a reputable no-kill group or are a member of one, and you can foster them, please pm me for more details.

Please..help if you can - even if it's just a suggestion of a group I can write to for assistence. I will being doing a websearch tomorrow after I've shipped the day's orders.

Thank you!! I will keep this thread updated whenever I have news.

Drats...CAWS has a note that they are full and not accepting any animals at this time. I wrote to them anyway (what do I have to lose) to see if they could at least refer me to another similar group.

Howard, thank you. What a generous offer. I'm not sure I would have a prayer of being able to do that. I'm having a hard enough time finding anyone to help me get them out of there, and our group does not have much in the way of funds.

I will keep it in mind, but I wouldn't hold your breath!!

I am very happy to say the kittens were pulled from the shelter they were in this past weekend, and are now with a no-kill group. They estimate their age younger than I had thought - they will not be available for adoption for some weeks.

Once available, we will have photos and a link to the rescue group fostering them (petsmaritan's) on our website - www.americancurlrescue.com.
