Dad is not allowed to give baths anymore..

So i put steve in charge of washing, and grooming one cat yesterday. just one! Lily..shes the easiest about her bath. She screams at you but thats about it..sits nicely..

well..this evening i went to groom her and found at first what i thought was matts.....turned out to be soap residue! poor little thing. the brush took out a few clumps before mom could see what it was. on a whole you cant tell. she has alot of hair..but i was upset..she has a show in a month. *waa* of course this is the same kitten who hacked off her whiskers in the fan *lol*

So she got rinsed super good again..and is now MAD At ME....well gee i didnt not rinse her good last time..lol

Figures, you get to take the blame! This is why I do things myself....sounds terrible, but at least I know they get done right!

well it was our semi-annual bath day yesterday, lol i did everyone else.and i mean everyone! LOL i left him in charge of one..LOL which i will not be doing anymore.

Poor Dad...almost feel sorry for him....but not as sorry as I do for Lily! lol

yeah well hes learning. LMAO..he doesnt get to wash the dogs either..cause he always mucks that up too..LMAO....he always forgets the coat conditioner! which is very important for ms athena!

I just have to tell you, too...I am in LOVE with Ares....he is such a thief of hearts!!! Lily, too....I love their sweet little faces!

When I give the critters baths, they look at Joe like he's going to save them from mean old mommy....little do they know, I'm doing them a favor by NOT letting him do it!!

If you want to do things right, do it yourself!

Tehehe..thank you. He is such a little theif. I have a friend who breeds MaineCoons..(and is anti persian cause she thinks they look like Gizmo LMAO) she saw his photo and she just could not stop saying how sweet he was. and that he turned her on to likeing persians, LOL shes on my waiting list now. She wants one that looks like him, LOL

Did it ever strike you that it might be a deliberate attempt at sabotage - so that he ISN'T left to bath the cats any more? At least he tried though, poor dear. You can tell he did at least try to use the soap. That's gotta stand for something!

Poor Lily's had a rough couple of days! Now she must be so beautiful and fluffy sparkling clean!

What is it with guys and bathing the animals? Sunny bathed Kellie ONE TIME (you haven't seen hair until you've seen the coat on a show-bred Peke ...) and I discovered that not only did he not rinse her out very well, he didn't check her coat first and I had mats like you wouldn't believe because she hadn't been combed out first. He is no longer allowed to bathe the dog . I'm about ready to give the boys a bath, which should be fun as they haven't had any while in my posession although they did have one right before coming home.

They are a LOT bigger now ...

LOL i never thought of that..maybe he is trying to sabatoge it! so he is only left to his duties of being the towel holder! Shame on him! but yes he gets points for actually useing soap!

DOH MEN! oh yes i have seen the hair on those show pekes. wow. lol..he got banned from washing my husky because he didnt get the hair wet enough. he didnt realise they have a double coat, lol

He got banned from washing athena..by athena..he got soap in her eyes. And now no kitties either..good grief lol

The secret is drying, you dry that cat for hours and it'll win best groomed! woohoo!
