It depends what their like?. I wouldn't let them fight it out though.

When Rosie and Sophie play fight they slam dunk each other onto the floor in between chasing each other all over the house.

You'll soon know if it get's out of hand though because they'll fight in mid air and screech!. When it happens like that MA always tells people to throw something over them such as a towel because this seperates them.

Hi Susan, the fighting is more like swatting each other's heads and a little hissing on Cassie's part. Napoleon I think tries to deliberately press her buttons. I'm getting him slowly un-obsessed with her though

Don't worry, their not ready for a referee just yet
Napoleon is wanting Cassie to play thats all.

I would just watch them to make sure it doesn't get out of hand, but Cassie will let Napoleon know when she's had enough i promise you

Hi Taryn

I think everything seems completly normal with your 2 kitties. What they are going through is just a natural stage and they are more than likely trying to work out who is alpha cat. This is common. As long as no blood is drawn or fur is madly flying around then I would let them be. Keep an eye on them when you can and break it up if you think its getting too rough.

oh and btw - i havent forgotton about the pm - off to bed now as its late here, but will reply tomorrow
