I feel like such a terrible person.

I was opening a bottle of Advil Liqui-Gels yesterday morning and spilled some on the floor. I cleaned them up and looked really good and didn't see anymore on the floor. Apparently I missed one and I went in to the kitchen later and there was vomit all over the floor. I cleaned it up and as I was I saw a Advil Liqui-Gel laying there. I picked it up and it had teeth marks in it and the liquid was gone inside. I called my vet and they said that one wouldn't hurt her and that she would just be a little sick. She threw up once last night and once today a while after she ate. Other than that she seems to be acting normal and is playful and going to the bathroom. What should I do?

Has this ever happened to anyone else? What should I expect?

You can call the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center - (888) 426-4435. A $50 consultation fee may be applied to your credit card. Or you can call your vet, I would not do a wait and see.

Please don't bea yourself up over it. Accidents happen, just be more careful. I freak out when I drop medication as well. I had been giving gremlin diazepam and it seemed he hid it well and spit it out later. I found it with the kitten and got it away asap.

Yes, accidents do happen, and we all do the best we can **but** since advil is poisonous, please don't tell them not to worry about it! Here is a link mentioning that it is serious if a cat ingests such a medication:click here

I didn't mean to tell her not to worry, but I meant dont' beat yourself up over it and do the best you can to prevent the situation in the future.
