well, i don't personally use it...
but my cats sure like it.
i think it's easier to clean than the freshflow was, and the cats liked the flow that the freshflow provided. this one holds more water (although i've heard petmate makes the freshflow in different sizes now). this one replaced our freshflow fountain when it broke. the guys like it, and that's what matters i guess.

ps-i bought mine from petfooddirect.com when they sent out one of those 22% off coupons...it cost less than $30 including shipping.

I'm getting this for Cupid next month (his bday). He uses a Drinkwell now, but I hate taking it apart and cleaning it!

I thought I replied to this...weird.
Yes
Its for the cats. Not me. Though.....

I want to transition the boys from drinking on top of the coffee table out of glasses
(yes, they have their own drinking glasses. It seems to be the only way they will drink)

I thought this may entice them.

Do you put it by the food? I suspect that they don't like to drink out of something that is by their food but I don't know...

Also, maintenance is a big thing. If its going to be full of cat hair and get dirty daily, I wouldn't like that...
Easy cleaning is optimal.

Lucky Cupid, the little doll

The fountains are selling at my retail store for $30.

we have a 1-bedroom apt...so our space is tight and the kitchen is small
...i keep their bowls with kibble in the kitchen, and their fountain and waterbowl are in the hallway. (i still keep the waterbowl out cause sometimes they prefer that...they're weird, i know
)

i find i have to clean it about once a week. i just rinse the filter out. usually with my 3 guys i'm having to change the filter every 3 weeks. it says it's different depending on how many cats you have. it gets kind of gross under the reservoir after a week with 3 cats, too. i also use distilled water in it...i killed our petmate fountain with tap water deposits.

Sounds good! Thanks for the info!
I am just dreading buying it and the little buggers not using it!
I doubt I could take it back opened and used.

They will NOT drink out of water dishes on the floor.
I have tried every place and every kind of dish, glass and bowl...

Though they will drink out of the bathtub.

Cats are weird.

(yes, its on sale right now. that is why I was thinking about it)
I don't know if you are in the US but this is also $30 CDN so you should come down and buy a bunch and re-sell them

How easy it is to clean? Does it have hard to get to places, or is it all round?

it's pretty easy to clean. it is mostly rounded. it has i think one or two hard to get to places, but you can get to them. and the whole thing comes apart, so unlike the freshflow you can clean all the areas. (i had trouble getting several areas of the freshflow clean because of the plastic molding) so overall it is MUCH easier to clean than the petmate freshflow.
