I am just curious. Rascal has started to rub on me? When I come home and I open the door, he is rubbing, first his head and then his body around my legs. Someone told me it was a sign of territory. He is telling me that I am his? Or is it I am so happy to see you, Mommy? just curious.

It's a little of both. They rub you to leave thier scent on you, but it's also a sign of affection and being happy to see you.

It sounds like Rascal gets really happy and excited when he sees you come home. He is giving you an affectionate greeting which includes scent marking you as something that belongs to him. Cats have glands in their heads which release some of the cats scent whenever the cat rubs its head against an object.
