I thought this would be fun if we share odd trivia/gossip about our favorite celebs. Hope, can't wait to see your Paul Stanley trivia!

I'll start with... Mr. Jon Bon Jovi

*He has been married to this high school sweetheart, Dorothea, since 1989.

*He has Type 1 (AKA Juvenile) Diabetes and wears a pump on his hip that continuously delivers insulin to his body (Bradley has the same kind of pump)

*His mother was one of the first Playboy bunnies.

OK, your turn!

I had no idea Jon BonJovi had diabetes. I know that Bred Michaels of Poison has a pretty severe case of Diabetes.

OK, Paul trivia. Before he was in Kiss, Paul was a Taxi driver, as well as a clerk in a Deli. Paul went to High school at the New York School of Performing Arts, the same school that was featured in the movie "Fame". Paul is the spokesman for the Toronto based "About Face", a charity for people with facial differences, and he considers himself to have a facial difference, because he was born with a deformed ear, which he had plastic surgery on to make his ear look more like the normal ear. Paul is also deaf in that ear. Paul was also extremely overweight as a child and teenager, and when he decided to become a Rocker, he lost that weight and has kept it off, and is extremely fit and trim, now.

Wow Amy...I AM SOOO PROUD OF YOU!

But I didn't know Jon had Diabetes...I know Bret Michaels does and still struggles with it when on tour. I'll have to do some investigating...cause now I'm all worried about him.

I didn't know Bret Michaels had diabetes either!!

Bradley is always talking to me about celebs with Diabetes. He gets Diabetes Forcast (monthly mag) and apparently JBJ has been in there before and is called a "pump patient" (wearing that pump that I mentioned).

Anyone else have some random celeb trivia?
Hope, I loved your Paul trivia
About Face sounds like a wonderful cause!

Hows this for random? While perusing the imdb the other day I discovered that Richard Belzer, who plays Det. John Munch on Law & Order: SVU, is a cousin to Henry Winkler (The Fonz).

It made sense.

Oh I have all kinds of useless information about rock stars running around in my brain.

So here is some random trivia:

Motley Crue:

Vince Neil's real name is Vince Neil Wharton. He has a son, Neil, who is now in his 20s, and had a daughter, Skylar, who was tragically lost to cancer when she was 3 years old.

Mick Mars' real name is Robert Lee Deal, but he legally changed his name to Mick Mars because his name contained 13 letters which he thought was bad luck. He has a degenerative bone disease, and most of the bones in his spine are now fused together, which is why he's never jumped around on stage like Vince and Nikki.

Nikki Sixx's real name is Frank Carlton Sarafino Ferreno. Yeah, no wonder he changed his name to Nikki!

Tommy Lee was born Tommy Lee Bass. He was born in Greece and has a sister named Athena, who is also a drummer (and beautiful!). He was married to Heather Locklear long before he met Pamela.

More later...

Haha!
The Today Show doesn't want me working with Matt....I'd be too busy making googly eyes at him to report any news!

Not that I am a fan or hers or watch her shows but I do know that "dumb blonde" Jessica Simpson has a 160 IQ. The "dumb blonde" is apparently all an act.

I would have to say, if she has a genius IQ, somehow she forgot to access that part of her brain. Anyone who doesn't know that Chicken of the Sea is Tuna and thinks it might be Chicken is pretty dumb.

Did she actually not know? Or was it planned. She got 1) Publicity for it 2) Brought attention to her show and 3) Endorsement deal from the tuna company in question. Quite a profitable return for just one line, is it not? Question: Would her show still be popular if she did not keep coming out with these dumb blonde statements?

Sometimes things are not as they seem.

I don't put much stock into IQ testes anyway - you can do them several times and get different results. No thanks.
Lets see, do I have any celebrity trivia? Umm....*thinking*

I can see the resemblance between Belzer and Winkler. But would not have thought it until it was pointed out.

And according to this article I read today, Marilyn Monroe confessed to her psychiatrist that she had a one night stand with Joan Crawford and she didnt like it and when Joan wanted 'another round', Marilyn turned her down and Joan got nasty. I don't know if thats true but thats my trivia for today.

Oh yeah Apparently Jim Morrison had an IQ of 143.

One interesting thing I learned about him - he had a deaf cousin and was fluent in sign language.

I believe that Jim Morrison had a 143 IQ.

I DO NOT believe that someone with an extremely high (EXTREMELY as in only 0.5% of the population has an IQ over 140 (which is genius level) can play being that entirely moronic. Someone that smart would be wasting their time with her life.
Jessica Simpson is no exceptional genius, sorry.

I would doubt she even falls into the average standard deviation of 90-110.

My bit of trivia is that Marilyn Monroe (as Kellye reminded me in her similiar post above)
never wore any feminine hygiene products when she had her period.
She laid in bed ALL DAY when she had it, and usually just drank and talked on the phone.
She had white sheets and so it was quite the mess for her personal maid to clean up.
(sorry, a bit of graphic trivia I should say)

I wouldn't trust online free IQ tests, but if it's administered by a professional ones IQ should not deviate too much over a lifetime. And remember everyone, IQ is NOT tied up with common sense. There are far too many people out there who come across as a bit dull because they don't know that hamburger is a cow but think that it's pig instead because it's called HAMburger(I had an incredibly intelligent friend have this problem). I doubt that Jessica Simpson's IQ is at the 160 range, but I would not have a problem believing she was somewhere between 110-130. Flightiness & intelligence are completely separate entities (yes, even when it's as extreme as Jessica's or my friend mentioned above).

I know a few things about some of the Backstreet Boys.

Brian Litrell was born with a hole in his heart and at 5 years old was given relatively no chance at living. Obviously he perservered and in 1998 had heart surgery to correct his problem and was out touring less than a month later with an oxygen tank waiting for him backstage.

Brian founded the Healthy Heart Club for Kids to promote heart well-being in preteens.

Howie Dorough had a sister who died from Lupus shortly after Brian had his heart surgery.

Howie founded the Dorough Lupus Foundation to raise money for the cause shortly after his sisters death.

Nick Carter used to sing the National Anthem at Tampa Bay Buccanneers games as a 12 year old.

Nick also had a role as an extra in Edward Scissorhands.

Lou Pearlman, the boys original manager and an Orlando business man, has been sued in nearly every business venture he's pursued. As far as I know he never wins either, causing him to change the name of his business (after the bad publicity kicks in) several times.
