Hi!

Hey guy/gals im new to the whole cat world and id like to say HI to everyone here.

I just saved my kitty from being killed in the street. I have em in the house now and he seems to like me. I still dont know wat to name him tho. I have a couple pics in my sig of him. Any suggestions?

Your little rescue kitty is very sweet - what a wonderful thing you did taking him in . Wow! now you have the big responsibility of finding out what he wants to be called! I'm sure we can all pitch in there. You might try posting a thread in the Cat Lounge asking for suggestions - more people might see it there .

Thanx for such a warm welcome but i have some bad news. My poor little kitty passed away today at 3pm. It was the worst site i have ever seen. Since he was such a small kitty, i dunno how old he was, he might of passed cus of being away from its parents. When i saved him, he was by himself. He passed because of malnurishment from the street life. I came up with a name for him but its too late, Agent Orange is what i was going to name him.

R.I.P Agent Orange, you will be greatly missed...

What sad, sad news!!! Such tragedy!!!! Sweet little boy, Godspeed over Rainbow Bridge....Your time together with him was much too short. Please comfort yourself in the fact that Agent Orange passed away knowing that he had a name and someone to love and care for him - at least he had that before he went. You saved him from dying alone & afraid. He will be waiting to meet you at the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.
Now that you have been introduced to the cat world, I sincerely hope & pray that another little kitty (or two) enters your life very, very soon. You have so much to give, and there are so many cats and kittens that need and want your love and care so very, very much.
When you feel up to it, maybe you could post a thread in the Crossing the Bridge forum. We could share all the pain of losing our beloved kitties together.They are all part of our families, and just because you had Agent Orange only a short time, the love that you shared was just as special and important. In fact, it is harder in a way, because he was cheated on life, such a young life with so much living to do, so much hope and promise. I have lit a candle in my window, to help light the way for his little cat spirit to Cross the Bridge. We all have many TCS cats over there who will greet your little guy; and you, the one left behind, have the rest of us at TCS to help you get through this. Hugs, Susan

Thank you very much, you guys/gals are the best. Yes i only had em for a short time (not even 24 hrs ) but we had a bond, i was the only person to ever take care of him. Atleast he will have that memory with him as he plays in Kitty heaven.

I hope i can find another kitten soon and help him/her out. I have no idea where the animal shelters are at in my area and the ones ive seen and called in the yellow pages seem to be shady and dont want to help me find another kitty.

Oh that's very sad, but welcome to TCS, you could look on petfinder.com and look in the area you are in they have all kinds of pets for adoption, Good Luck

i'm so sorry, furball. Growing up I had my special lil kitties and when they died, it was always heartbreaking. I have never gotten over any of them.

But catsknowme is totally right. At least he had someone like you for even that short time and that's what matters. Bless ya for taking him in

Look in your papers and ask your friends. I guarantee you'll find another furbaby in no time. They'd be lucky to have you!! More to you.

Thanx, im on the search rite now but im not sure if i should get one rite away. Schools starting in about 2 weeks and i want to be able to train the kitty to use the litter box and also have em used to my room. I wasnt going to keep Agent Orange but no one could take it and i wasnt going to leave him in the streets again, and ofcourse, the way he looked at me, I couldnt say no to that face

If i find one soon, ill probably bring em home but if not, then ill wait a bit till i have time to give em all my love and care for em.

I'm glad to see that your spirits seem to be holding up. You are doing well, and your little Agent Orange can rest alot easier in Heaven because of it. You might be wise to wait - sometimes we run into "roadblocks" for a reason. Perhaps there is a situation for a kitten coming up, and you will be needed more for that little one. It also seems that some areas are just overloaded with kittens in need, and others that are not. Or maybe it's time for a more mature cat that needs less of your undivided attention; that's what I love about cats, they can be comfortable with some chit-chat & just being next to you. Just don't try to keep them out of the bathroom when you want privacy! Please keep visiting us frequently: I'm anxious what's in store for your future!! Susan

Thanx so much Susan. As ive said before, everyone here is great. ill drop by every now and then. When i get a new kitty ill be sure to let you guys know about it. I also believe that everything happens for a reason so maybe i should wait a bit till i get a new kitty.
