I have been playing with my kitties every night to get them to interact. Even not so much interacting, but they are newly introduced, so try to get them to at least tolerate each other and have fun with us and get them to loosen up.

What did you swear by when going through PT with your kitties?

I recommend kitty fishing poles. By that I mean a wand with string or fabric attached with a feather or a toy on the end. Those are good for getting kitties to run and jump and play. Wave the kitty fishing pole (wand) around and you're bound to catch yourself some kitties!

we love kitty fishing too
. another favorite of ours are the toys with a ball track. he'll chase the ball around, and around, and around...they all help him sleep well at night. what is most important is how you're playing with them, it helps hold their attention longer.

I incorporate treats into playtime using treat balls and variations thereon. Cats are very food-motivated. Getting a treat for playing gives a reward for doing something the cat enjoys doing. And getting the cats to do it in each other's company gives them a positive association.
