Meowmy and I were listening to the news this morning and it seems that most people and their pets did get out of mean ol' Rita's way. But there is lots of rain in the area along the Texas/Louisiana border.
Yes, we better go and check on the stray animals. A nature refuge was in the path and some goats are loose in one town. Beaumont, TX?
Though the ducks in one area didn't seem to need help.

You wudn't beleeve what happend...Meowmy didn get enuf sleep this week, an she went to bed at 10 this mornin, and woked up at 5!!! She is sawry I didn get to write until now, but some of this vol-un-teering makes her tired I guess! Plus she hadda get up at 5:30 an cudnt sleep cause she thot she wudnt hear her alarm!
I'd like a tuna melt if yous got any left.

We gots two new stray cats in our garden. They reeeeeel skinny one that Jose (he caretaker of all garden cats feeding em everday) call Flaco -- that's Spanish for skinny -- an little tiny kitten bout one month old -- a plain brown tabby wif tiny white mittens an boots an lil white splash near nose -- reel reel cute. Yu wanna see pics? We try get sum if we can ketch em running round in daylite.
