My kitty sometimes scratch the litter from outside the box, he just put his one leg in the box and move the litter, what is this mean, is he just arranging the litter the way he wants it?, btw, he does this after he pees and after i clean it.

It might just be his own preference or a little quirk of his. My Alex scratches the outside of the litter box from inside after he goes. I have a covered box with one of those doggy door type entrances, and he'll reach his paw out the door and scratch the threshold, or stick his head out the door and scratch the side of the box (thereby flinging litter out of the box and defeating the purpose of having a covered box...thanks Alex). I think he thinks he's covering his business even though he's really just scratching plastic. Cats are funny sometimes.

My cat enjoys playing with the litter in his box as well. He especially loves it right after I clean the box. He just goes in and kicks the litter around.

When Cassie was a baby, she would do that. She would dig and dig and dig and dig until she hit the lowest point just so she could poop comfortably, and the cover it up again LOL. Napoleon is a BIG litter digger...he sees me cleaning out the boxes and he just goes right in there and kicks it all out!

Don't you LOVE when they do that? lol My girls get litter all over the place, too.
I think sometimes cats know exactly what they're doing...and it's all because they like to mess with us.
