kitten has diarrhea help

Hi. My 5 month old kitten got a sudden bout of diarrhea. I fed them all some plain yogurt about 3 hrs ago as a snack, on the advise of a friend who works at a vet. She told me it is good for their digestive tract. Could the yogurt have caused this? What should I do tonight with him? Obviously he won't be sleeping in my bed.

I would imagine anything foreign that his body isn't used to digesting might have that kind of effect. Why did your vet tech friend recommend that? Was he not eating? Or was it just a recommendation cause it was good for his digestive tract? I'd be curious. Right now, I would say, just make sure he doesn't get dehydrated, give him some dry food or maybe some broth. Good luck
