Back from cruise!

Hello all! I'm back...had the best time of my life on this cruise. It was amazing. I will say that i enjoyed Costa Maya alot more than Cozumel. We arrived back to the port (New Orleans) and killed about 5 hours touring around only to find out that i booked the hotel for the day before-- so that was 110.00 gone out the window for nothing! So we sucked it up and drove home 6 hours!
I must add this story...my boyfriends roommate has two cats. We get back to his place and the litter box had poo stacked up to the rim. I dont think they cleaned it for the entire time!! I was disgusted and immediatly took care of that...THEN...they complain that the cat tinkled on their clothes and couldnt understand why so they locked one of them up in the bathtub for punishment. My boyfriend told them they were trying to tell you something...to clean their box...they do things like that to get your attention" -- but they didnt buy it- they just cant understand why the cat pee'd on their clothes!! DUH- i wouldnt want to walk on my poo either! Lets just say-- i would had been ticked if it was my cat!! They obviously dont care about their cats.
Now, my baby was in good hands with my sister and I was SOOOO glad to be home since its been 10 days since i've seen my baby...and she had alot to tell me...you would had thought i was beating her by her long crys/meows! lol

Well it looks like i have alot of catching up to do so i better get busy!!

Did you sail on the Grandeur? We did that cruise last year. It was GREAT. I love Costa Maya too. Last time I got really sunburned there.

That wasnt my cat sitter-- that was my boyfriends roomate...his roommate doesnt take care of his cats- which annoys me!!!

Awesome! I've been wondering and thinking bout you for the last week! We leave on Saturday!! I can't wait! Is there anything that I should know...procedures, etc... to make things go smoother?

Phew....looks like we'll miss that Tropical Storm in Florida....looks like it is going into the panhandle.

When my friend watches my cats-I buy those disposable litter boxes-I let her throw the "old ones" in a garbage can that is handy. Less worries on that part of cat care!!

Beautiful pics! And shame on that guy who did that to the cat. I'd like to let his poop pile up in the toilet and then lock him up in the shower!!

Yea the beaches were great in cozumel but i liked the shopping better in costa maya....we went through a military check point on the way to the Mayan Ruins....i was scared!!! lol

Your going on carnival, right?
I didnt get seasick but on the last night the water was real rocky and i had to get some medicine (which is free) and afterwards i was fine. The people that take your bags, its customary to give 1.00 per bag...they are very nice and you need to keep up with them b/c they will leave you!!! Pace yourself on the drinks...they have a "drink of the day" for 6.50 a pop...it gets pricey if your not careful. If you use the drink of the day for a refill, you get a SMALL discount. BUt the drinks arent that bad as far as prices go. We got a bucket of beer (4 beers) for like 11.00. Drank alot of daquiris though. The food in the dining room isnt that great. I never knew what i was ordering! Its too fancy for me! lol Take pictures before your dinners, and take multiple ones in case one doesnt turn out. You'll feel like your at prom lol We ended buying 2 picture packages! if you get room service, tip them as they come but dont tip your room steward till the end of your trip. I ended up OVER packing!!! You'll get a "carnival caper" every morning when u wake up- read it!!! Its very useful and you can plan your day around events that you want to attend. Go to the captains party-- free cocktails and or'durves! Jewelry is cheap so if you want, buy it on the ship duty free or in mexico. We bought liqour b/c its cheap and duty free. And i'll warn you- you are going to eat all the time. We ate like 4 meals/snacks a day!!!! I gained weight, definatly!!!!!!!!! BUt ya know enjoy yourself and have fun- take lots of pictures!!!!!!!!!!!! Let me know how you enjoyed it!

P.S. if you have the luggage tags, have them filled out before you get there. Also if you have one ahead of time, fill out your sail and sign card before you arrive too. It'll speed up the process.
