Yeah, she's a sweetie, and just a tiny little thing. The least I can do for her is to spay her...she's been through enough.

Yeah, you're right. I actually think "Butterfly" is too long, but that's how the names started. She was named that because to move over the others, it looked like she was doing the butterfly stroke.
Shortening it is going to be tricky...I'll have to call her "fly", because the only other alternative is "butt"!

I'd love to have one...or two...but, sigh, I need to stay at two kitties for now....
ANYWAYS, if you need any help, PM me...even if you just need someone to take care of them if you're on vacation, or something....
Where in the city do you live?
You gave me that contact information for my last bunch, so I still have it. In fact, my former feral boy, Beau, is still listed on her petfinder site.

I live in the Edgewater/Andersonville area. You're welcome to visit the babies! Where do you live now? I think you used to live in Lakeview, but were moving?

Thanks to them, I'm now stuck with a feral mama whom I can't treat, and who is waaay to skittish to flea-comb, and newborn kittens that I have to flea comb, and pick those little boogers off of them. They are also relegated to my bathroom until the problem can be fixed. So, as cute as "flea" is, I'm afraid that I just can't name any of them that!
Shame
the poor little babies! I hope you get them all off, if I lived closer I would volunteer for flea picking duties

What? It can't be more than a 20 or so hour plane ride...that's not so far, is it?

Can you tell I'm sick of picking fleas? Also that I would like my bathroom back?

How wonderful you are to take this girl in to give the kittens a safe place to be born in . They are so precious!

Thanks Chris! They really are loves. You know, Indiana isn't so very far away...perhaps you'll be wanting more fur company sometime towards the end of October...

I can help, too. I'm in Lincoln Park, but I volunteer up at Treehouse...which is by you.

You live in an absolutely lovely neighborhood by the way.

But, if you need any help, I'd love to help you with these babies! They are too precious!

It occurred to me that I got so busy helping to raise these babies & get them all adopted out (which they were...weeks ago), that I never kept up with this thread. Indulge me if I fast forward, and do it now. It would be a shame not to show at least a few of the over 1,000 pictures I took of them (sadly, that's not an exaggeration
).

These are thumbnails, if you'd like to see the pictures bigger, just click on them. I'll put their pictures in separate posts. These are from the first few weeks.

This is Pieris (thanks for the name Ginger's mum!), the only boy:

This is Butterfly. She started out as kind of an "ugly duckling", but grew to be beautiful!

...and here's some random "group" shots:

This was taken when I constructed them a "play area" in the kitten room:

With momma, JinJin:

Well, that covers about the first three or four weeks. I'll put more up at a later time! Enjoy!

Oh my word!!!!!
Those kittens are the cutest little "buggy wuggies" I have ever seen!!!
I have fallen in

Good thing you have them all adopted out.

I can't wait for more pics!

And Jin-Jin.... did you keep her?
And if so... could we see more pics of her. I think her eyes are breathtaking.

Those kittens are so cute I want to cry!
How did you bear to part with them?!
Hope JinJin is still doing well. BigCatFan's right - her eyes are stunning!

Thanks so much! I do still have JinJin. When she is more socialized, I'll start looking for a furever home for her. She does have the most amazing eyes, they change color from gray to green...beautiful!
BTW, I looove your Garfield! What a gorgeous boy!

How could I part with them? Do you want to see the scars on my inner thighs where they kept jumping up & holding on?
Seriously, though, it's always hard to give them away, but I have to. I've had 18 foster cats/kittens since March...after all that, you're sort of happy to see them go even if you'll miss them.

JinJin is doing wonderfully, thanks for asking!
