JinJin is a feral kitty that we trapped 2 weeks ago. She gave birth to a litter of five kittens just a few days later. They're adorable, so I thought I'd share. They were 5 days old in these shots. Also, the digital shots make some of them look black/white, but they're actually grey/white, or grey tabby:

Here's JinJin (it means "firefly"), isn't she gorgeous? Scared, but gorgeous!

Here's a group shot:

Here's Katydid (girl):

Here's Junebug (girl):

Here's Cricket (girl)...are ya catching on to the name theme?

Here's Butterfly (girl) she looks black, but is actually dark, dark grey:

Here's the last one (the only boy...at least I think he is!). I can't think up a good "bug" name for him...any suggestions?

So that's the crew! If anyone has friends or family in the Chicago area who will be looking for kitties in the fall...send 'em my way!

They are cuties!

The last one - How about Mushi - japanese for Bug, or Kabuto(mushi) which is Rhinosaurus Beetle, or Semi - Japanese Cicada.

You betcha! I've told her over and over to enjoy these guys since they will be her last. The vet says she is about a year and a half old, and that this is not her first litter...poor thing. At least this time she's not on the streets, and has plenty of everything she needs. Thankfully someone told us about her, and we were able to get her just in the nick of time.

Thanks Ryan! Of course they can't compare to the incomparable Chasey, but they're a close second through sixth!

Hmmm...I'll have to put those on the list! I'm considering Grasshopper and Dragonfly also. Both are a bit long, though. Thanks for the suggestions!

I actually think those are good, they just look long, they actually have the same number of syllables (three) as "Butterfly." You'll probably end up shortening them anyway, and either one would do well, either "Hopper" or "Dragon."

Too cute...and DANGEROUSLY close to me! Let me know if you have any trouble getting them adopted out, I have some people you could contact to help spread the word!
I'd love to have one...or two...but, sigh, I need to stay at two kitties for now....
ANYWAYS, if you need any help, PM me...even if you just need someone to take care of them if you're on vacation, or something....
Where in the city do you live?

Sadly, due to the vet office misdiagnosing JinJin as being "flea-free" while pregnant, "flea" is a bad, bad word here right now!
Thanks to them, I'm now stuck with a feral mama whom I can't treat, and who is waaay to skittish to flea-comb, and newborn kittens that I have to flea comb, and pick those little boogers off of them. They are also relegated to my bathroom until the problem can be fixed. So, as cute as "flea" is, I'm afraid that I just can't name any of them that!

I like "Pieris"...how is that pronounced?

Thanks Danielle! I do believe you have enough on your plate right now, though, don't you?
If memory serves, you're about to have a new baby of the non-fur variety soon?
