Hello, some might remember me, I posted a few months ago when my senior cat died (Precious, her doggy sis-Tasha died a month later).

I have since been claimed by Bella, she's now 3 months old. I know very little about kittens so I'm not sure what's "normal" and what to be concerned about!

Bella had her second set of shots last week, and treatment for ear mites ( I had been using Hartz ear mite drops with little sucess-should have know better!). on her first vet visit ( and no, she wasn't speaking to me when we got back home lol) the vet said she had a URI and gave her clamox, and to go ahead with the ear mite treatment I had-let's just say I wasn't her favorite human for awhile!

now, a week after the 2nd vet visit, her eyes are runny again. is this because of the shots? I really can't afford another vet visit just yet, I'm starting a new job and funds are really really tight.

also, Bella seems to like to bite, I've tried a firm no, holding her month closed ( it works with puppies-not so much with Bella), and yelling ouch!-nothing seems to work.

she's lost a bit of fur from around her ears, the vet said it will come back?

this is a whole new ballgame from living with a 15 yr old lady LOL, I'm sure Precious is getting a chuckle out of watching us!

here's a pic-sorry it's so big

Sorry gal but the photo was way to large for this forum. If you want to send it to another member to resize it for you and post it in Fur Pictures, that would be great.

Also kittens are not puppies, hiss at her when she bites and draw into her mouth with your hand instead of pulling away, this will startle her out of her behavior. If you keep holding her mouth closed like that you could have a really aggressive kitty on your hands soon.

To answer your original questions yes, there is "cats for dummies" and they have a kitten section...

What about a deaf kitty biting toes? Know anyway to do that?
Annie's a little brat about that!
