HI!! I am done moving and finally got my internet working!! Thanks to all those who helped me and my kitten on our other thread (lethargic, not eating, ect) The vet put her on some meds to kill any parasites in her gut and to slow down her bowels...and since then she has been a normal little brat!! But, her eye is looking pretty yucky, and she has been sneezing...I'm calling the vet tomorrow, but anything I can do in the meantime?? I have been using neosporin, but that isn't helping. Also, she keeps peeing on the rug/and plastic bags that are on the floor....any suggestions on keeping her away from them?? Thanks soooooo much!!!
Oh, and here is a pic, she was half awake.....isn't life hard for a kitten????

Sneezing and yucky eye sounds like a URI, I would keep her eye clean. Useing non scented baby wipes, or a warm peice of Gauze..not cotton! I wouldnt reccomend neosporin around the eye myself.

Feliaway and an enzyme cleaner on the rug where shes pottying should work. or close her off to one room with the box. til she gets the idea.

Thanks! She uses the box good....it is just occasionally she has an accident on the rug or plastic bag. She has never had an accident on the carpet or floor...just the other two. I had her in a room with her box when we first got her to get her used to it, and she did fine. Think she is just confused about where to go??

No, please don't put Neosporin on the eye. It won't do any good and might be harmful. It's not designed for that. I have a generic brand and it says on the tube Do not use in the eyes

Could be..sounds like since its just a once in a while thing it may be just an accident i would have your vet rule anything out. she should see a vet anyways for medication with the sneezging and eye. Make sure you clean rhe area good with a enzyme cleaner..so you get all the smell out. their noses are much better than ours.

Neosporin is not designed for use on or in the eyes.

My kitty had a URI and the vet prescribed Clavamox but the yucky eye syndrome kept reappearing. For about two months I've been giving her 500 mg of lysine per day and her eyes have been clear ever since. It takes a week to start noticing the effects but in two weeks her eyes looked purrfectly healthy. You can buy it in capsule form and mix the powder with wet food or the liquid from canned chicken.

Edit: My vet approved the use of lysine.
