I am a newbie too!

Hi!!!!! I am new here and so far really am enjoying the site.

I am the new mum to Basil, a very active 5 week old black kitten. He is a rescue, I work in a Vet clinic and one of our clients was mowing her yard and found Basil. She almost ran him over!

She brought him in and I took him, and bottle fed him, he was just weened this week and is eating canned kitten food. He is adorable!!!!!! But as kittens go, he loves biting everything, even though he has chew toys.

I also have a 15 y/o cat named Mookie. She is my animal soul mate. She also has terminal cancer, and probably only has a couple monthes left. However, her quality of life is good right now. But, she hates Basil and I have to keep them seperated unless I am right there.

Well, enough about me, I am glad I have found this site, it looks grand!

Welcome to TCS...glad that you were able to help this little kitten. You may at some point want to get him a playmate so he can use those wonderful biting skills to tackle another kitten in play.

I'm sorry to hear about Mookie's illness, but it sounds like she has a wonderful, caring human to make her as comfortable as possible . Basil certainly is keeping you on your toes
